The Ryder Cup starts on Friday at 7:10 a.m. ET from the Bethpage Black Course in Farmingdale, N.Y.
The action is right around the corner and we have no time to waste, so let's get into my Ryder Cup picks and best bets.
Ryder Cup Picks, Best Bets
Bryson DeChambeau and Justin Thomas Foursomes Winner vs. Rahm/Hatton (+110 at FanDuel)
I love this pairing for Team USA, as they are clearly looking to set a tone with their two biggest crowd pleasers in the first group out. They also happen to be a great pairing, as the duo should be able to take advantage of Bryson’s distance and Thomas' short game.
Rory McIlroy/Tommy Fleetwood Foursome Winners vs. Morikawa/English (-140 at FanDuel)
This duo of Morikawa and English is easily the weakest in my model — neither will have the distance required at Bethpage, and I think at least two or three other players sitting in the opening window would have been a better pairing with Morikawa. The fade of that group becomes even easier as the Euros will roll out the group that grades out as the strongest for them in my model, with Rory McIlroy and Fleetwood teaming up.
USA/EUR Correct Score 2.5-1.5 (+500 at FanDuel)
This grades out as the best value for correct score on the board for me. A 2-2 draw is the current favorite in the betting market, but my model projects a 2.5-1.5 score with projected odds of +360 and a 21.74% chance of being the final result.
