The second day of the 2026 Truist Championship gets underway on Friday at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Matt McCarty, at eight-under par, leads the Truist Championship after the first day and holds a one-stroke lead over the rest of the field. But, of course, the tournament remains wide open with three days remaining.

Corey Conners Top-20 (-120 at DraftKings)
Corey Conners got off to a strong start Thursday, finishing the opening round T8 at 4-under par. At -120, he is worth backing to remain inside the top 20 for the rest of the tournament.
The driver is arguably the most important club in the bag at Quail Hollow Club. This is a bomber’s course that hosted last year’s PGA Championship, where each of the top-four finishers ranked inside the top 25 in the field in strokes gained off the tee.
No other strokes-gained category showed a similar trend.
That profile benefits Conners, who ranks in the 74th percentile on the PGA Tour in strokes gained off the tee.
Harris English Top-20 (-132 at DraftKings)
Another golfer worth targeting in this market is Harris English. Like Conners, English enters Friday already inside the top 20 after an opening-round T13 finish at 3-under par.
Also like Conners, English excels off the tee. Entering this week, he ranks in the 78th percentile in strokes gained off the tee, 52nd percentile in driving distance and 75th percentile in driving accuracy.
While distance is a major advantage at Quail Hollow, fairways remain difficult to hit. As a result, success off the rough after long drives is often key at this course.
This season, English ranks 20th on the PGA Tour average in birdie-or-better percentage from the rough.
