We head to Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina, for the Wyndham Championship.
It's the final full-field event before the FedEx Cup, with Sedgefield being a Par 70 course that spans over 7,100 yards. Last year's winner, Cameron Young is listed at +850 to repeat.
Let's dive into our staff's Wyndham Championship picks and PGA Tour best bets for this week.

First Round Leader Pick: Jackson Koivun (+3700)
By: Tony Sartori
While last week featured a bomber’s course, this week is all about accuracy and putting. Playing just under 7,000 yards with above-average penalties for missed fairways, Sedgefield Country Club rewards precision and the ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities.
Last year, both of the top two finishers ranked inside the top seven in the field in strokes gained: putting. No other strokes-gained category showed a similar trend.
This setup makes Jackson Koivun a strong target in this market.
The putter is Koivun’s strongest club in the bag, though he has not shown many weaknesses elsewhere. While he does not yet officially qualify for rankings, Koivun would rank well above the PGA Tour average in strokes gained: putting.
It is therefore not surprising that he finished T5 in his first appearance at Sedgefield last year.
A jump in performance could be in store this year, given his recent form. Koivun has dominated the NCAA scene and has carried that success to the PGA Tour, winning six amateur events over the past 12 months while adding his first (of likely many) PGA Tour victory with an impressive performance at the 3M Open.

Outright Winner Pick: Ryan Gerard (+3500)
By: Spencer Aguiar
Sedgefield Country Club has some of the highest rollover predictability of any course on tour. Essentially, players who play well at this venue tend to continue that trend over time. The reverse is also true for those who struggle.
Gerard fits into the second portion of that bucket of someone who has yet to really find his footing at the course early in his career. Back-to-back missed-cut showings in 2025 and 2023 aren't exactly what you would want to see (I have my own concerns), but I am willing to take a shot on a golfer playing some of the best golf of anyone in this field.
Gerard's Bermuda short-game splits have been the problem. He ranks outside the top 90 of this field in all critical areas, including Bermuda putting, three-putt avoidance on similar greens, and short-game Bermuda returns.
If this becomes version number three of disappointment, I would bet we end up pointing in that direction, but the more impactful sentiment is that winning a golf tournament doesn't matter if you are second or last. Winning a golf tournament only cares if you can find upside.
His past failures pushed this number into a range where I am willing to gamble to find out if the new Gerard can handle Sedgefield.

Outright Winner Pick and Top 10 Pick: Ben Kohles (+6000 to Win; +600 for Top 10)
By: Derek Farnsworth
Kohles has been in as good of form as anyone in the field over the last few months. He's rattled off 8 straight top 30 finishes with a win and a 3rd place finish during that stretch.
When it comes to course fit, there might not be a better course for Kohles. In this field over the last 6 months, he's 1st in Good Drive Percentage, 2nd in Strokes Gained: Approach, and 38th in Strokes Gained: Putting.
He's also top 5 in both of my advanced metrics this week (Expected Strokes Gained: Approach and Expected Hole Performance). If he plays as well as he projects, we could be in for a huge week.

Outright Winner Pick: Chris Kirk (+7200)
By: Jake Zach
Kirk's approach play has been absolutely dialed lately. I got on him live last week purely because of how he was swinging it, and nothing about that has changed.
This is the exact profile Sedgefield rewards: a player who finds the short grass, hits his numbers with short and mid irons, and rolls it well on Bermuda.
I hit him at the Honda a few years back at a course with a very similar demand set in terms of fairway width and Bermuda putting. Great spot for him.

Outright Winner Pick: Lee Hodges (+15000)
By: Spencer Aguiar
Long shot alert!
There has been no sharper mover in the market than Lee Hodges over the past 48 hours.
My model has a high-end data return that loves his upside.
Taking some shots on him in upside markets feels like the way to go, whether that ends up being as a top-10, 20 or outright.
