Kentucky Oaks Best Bets for Friday, May 2

Friday's Kentucky Oaks races begin at 11 a.m. ET. The headliner, Race 11, is at 5:51 p.m.

Conti's Favorite Undercard Bets

Race 5: No. 5 (Nitrogen)

Race 7: No. 2 (Thorpedo Anna)

Race 8: No. 2 (Gimme Another)

Race 10: No. 4 (Ag Bullet)

Zerillo's Best Bet for the Kentucky Oaks

Race 11: No. 7 (La Cara)

Conti's Top Picks for the Kentucky Oaks

Race 11: No. 11 (Good Cheer)

"She's legitimately done nothing wrong," Conti noted of Good Cheer, the morning-line favorite. "She's 6/6 lifetime and she's won three times over this Churchill Downs track, one of them being on a sloppy main track, which we very well could get Friday, depending on the weather."

Race 11: No. 7 (La Cara)

Conti's in step with Zerillo on La Cara.

"I do believe that she's a need-the-lead type of horse. I think that she should get it in this spot," said Conti. "I'm definitely going to be using her."

Race 11: No. 14 (Quietside)

Conti's best upset pick is the No. 14, Quietside.

"She's coming in off two straight wins. Her last win was at Oak Lawn Park in the (Fantasy Stakes) — that fantasy has proven to be a very key Kentucky Oaks prep race," Conti highlighted.

"And she's a horse that will be more forwardly placed. From that outside post, she should get a fairly clean run into that first turn. So another one at 8/1 that I think is worth considering and using in your tickets."
