2023 Kentucky Derby Odds: Forte Favored at Churchill Downs

If you're like me, the Kentucky Derby tends to sneak up on you each year.
And if you're like me, betting on the Kentucky Derby is a fun way to spend an afternoon/evening in May.
But before we can start handicapping this year's race, we need to first take a look at Kentucky Derby odds for horse racing's first Triple Crown event.

Kentucky Derby Favorites
At 3-1 odds, Forte is the overwhelming favorite to win the Kentucky Derby. Following Forte, however, is a logjam between four horses.
Angel of Empire and Tapit Trice are listed at 8-1, followed by Practical Move (9-1) and Derma Sotogake (10-1).
Kentucky Derby Longshots
If you're more into longshots, King Russell has the biggest price on the board at 80-1 odds.
Wild On Ice and Major Dude are both listed at 60-1, with Disarm, Jace's Road and Cyclone Mischief sitting at 50-1.
And finally, there are seven — yes, seven — horses with 40-1 odds to win the Kentucky Derby, including Continuar, Lord Miles, Raise Cain, Sun Thunder, Blazing Sevens, Mandarin Hero and Skinner.
