Rovell’s Best MLB Monday Bet: Pirates vs. Padres, Blue Jays vs. Dodgers

It’s Monday night and you know what that means: I’m salivating over another total parlay.

We first head to San Diego, where Pittsburgh Pirates prospect Quinn Priester will give it another go after getting rocked in his Major League debut in Cleveland, when he gave up seven runs in five innings.

I have faith that Priester will fare much better against a San Diego Padres team that can score, but is incredibly erratic in their offensive production.

And San Diego’s Yu Darvish has pitched really well in his last three outings, allowing just four total earned runs.

The second part of our parlay will be an over. I’m not an over guy, but the Los Angeles Dodgers have been playing tee ball. In the last six games, the boys from LA have put up insane numbers: 52 runs scored! Thanks in part to this run, they are the second-best in baseball in scoring, only behind the Texas Rangers.

Dodgers pitcher Michael Grove has been decent recently, but I still don’t trust him against a potent Blue Jays lineup that isn’t all about Bo Bichette and Vlad Guerrero Jr.
