Getting a slight discount here. About a month ago, this prop would be around 20.5-21.5 alongside Pascal Siakam, but he’s shooting 16.7% from 3PT over the last five games, clearly going thru a slump. He’s due and DET is the perfect fast-paced spot for the bounce back game. 25 points last meeting. Bottom-10 PnR BH defense which Hali abuses for 40% of his PPG. The last three games he’s faced this type of defense: DAL (19 PTS, won by 17), MIN (23 PTS), ORL (20 PTS). When watching the film vs. DET, a lot of his success came from him actively switching on Ivey & Duren/Wiseman on drop coverage. Ausar Thomson would’ve likely been his primary defender & Quentin Grimes is out meaning he’ll even see some Evan Fournier minutes for him to switch onto. #PlayerProps

However, he has had a few floor games in there and still has exceeded his 10.5 assists line in 7 of 13 games and 6 of his last 10. One of those games was against the Pistons where he logged 13 dimes on 19 potentials back in February. Looking at his three games against Detroit this year, he’s averaged 13 dimes on 20 potentials (10, 16, 13). The Pistons have the 19th ranked Defense out of the All-Star Break and are playing at the 11th-fastest Pace in the league. This is a fairly advantageous spot for Haliburton. I expect Haliburton to exceed 10.5 Assists tonight.
