Bulls vs Warriors NBA Preview
I make the spread for this game Warriors -9.8 based on the fact that the Bulls are very bad and actually trying to lose, while Golden State is only kind of bad and wants to win.
Did you know that the Warriors are actually 12th in schedule-adjusted net rating and have a top-10 schedule-adjusted defense? It’s true.
Now, the problem is that against teams under .500 without Stephen Curry this season, Golden State is 3-6 ATS and just 5-4 SU.
The Warriors lost to the Jazz last night, who are tanking as hard as anyone.
However, there are some positive things in the Warriors’ favor.
Western Conference teams at home for a 3-in-4 back-to-back against Eastern Conference teams are 302-354-8 (54%) ATS since 2003, and 19-15 (56%) for Golden State specifically.
So, the rest-spot hasn’t been as bad for them.
Golden State’s 15th-ranked offense struggles, but the Bulls’ defense will help with that, especially being undersized and outgunned.

The Warriors are not a great team, but they are much better than the Bulls, and I like the Warriors in a bounce-back spot.
I would expect them to split vs. Utah and Chicago; if the Warriors had beaten Utah, I might be on the Bulls here.
As it stands, I’ll go with the Warriors to cover the spread tonight.
Over 227.5
Golden State’s schedule has been particularly tough this season, not only with rest, but with opponent strength.
But, when they play a bottom-10 defense, the Warriors actually have the 8th-best offense in the league.
Does that matter without Steph?
Well, it’s a good question, but the Over is 6-5 (just barely over .500) without Curry this season, and that's enough for me to think the Warriors can put up points here.
This should be a fast, three-point heavy game that sees Golden State get right with a big number.
