Chicago Bulls Betting Preview

The Bulls are playing at a very fast pace right now, simply letting their young kids run up and down the floor and dictate a frantic tempo.

Defensively, however, Chicago is vulnerable inside. While they do a decent job of limiting 3-point rate and forcing mid-range jumpers, the Bulls currently allow the second-most shots at the rim in the NBA.

That high volume of interior action, combined with their fast pace of play, creates a perfect storm for opposing players who are willing to play physical basketball and attack the glass.

Philadelphia 76ers Betting Preview

Despite the expected return of Joel Embiid, the 76ers are quietly one of the worst rebounding teams in the league.

Embiid is simply not the dominant rebounder he used to be, currently grabbing just 9.4 boards per game, while LeBron James sits at 7.0 and Jaylen Brown chips in 6.2.

Because this star-studded roster lacks players who actively fight for rebounds, VJ Edgecombe has stepped up to fill the void.

Edgecombe is drastically outperforming his position on the glass, averaging 7.8 rebounds per game.

Philadelphia is actively utilizing Edgecombe to bring the ball up the floor to run Tyrese Maxey off screens, putting him in perfect position to grab defensive rebounds and instantly initiate the offense.

Bulls vs 76ers Pick, Betting Analysis

Edgecombe has consistently crushed this line for most of the season, recently pulling down 8, 7, 13, and 7 rebounds in consecutive outings.

Between Chicago's lightning-fast pace and their tendency to allow a high volume of shots at the rim, Edgecombe is going to have plenty of opportunities to utilize his physicality on the interior.

Edgecombe is currently the best pound-for-pound rebounder on the Sixers. I am backing him to go over 5.5 rebounds tonight, and I honestly think this number is far too low; I would play it up to 6.5.

Pick: VJ Edgecombe Over 5.5 Rebounds
