Bulls vs Jazz NBA Preview

After a 6-1 start, the Bulls have lost each of their last four games. They have allowed at least 120 points in each of their last four games, averaging 124.75 per game. Head coach Billy Donovan was particularly frustrated after a loss to a short-handed Pistons team, stating "We're not talented enough to not play desperate."

Better health may help the team snap the losing streak as Josh Giddey is listed as probable after missing the last two games with an ankle injury. The 23-year-old is averaging 21.4 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 9.3 assists per game this season. Donovan also said Coby White is close to returning in the next week or so, which would give the team another 20-point scorer in the rotation.

The Bulls enter tonight's game with a few days of rest before a three games in four nights stretch. They will continue their road trip in Utah.

The Jazz have also struggled defensively as they have allowed 120 points in each of their last four games. They rank 25th in defensive rating thus far. However, it is difficult to not be at least a little encouraged with this year's 4-8 start following a 17-65 finish last season.

Lauri Markkanen is leading the way, averaging 29.2 points per game and ranks sixth in the league in scoring. He remains a coveted trade target across the league, perhaps even more so with him having six 30-point games this season. He should be motivated tonight as he will take on the team that drafted him.

Utah's struggles over the last few years have allowed it to collect a few intriguing young pieces and there have been promising signs early. Keyonte George has increased his points and assists and in each of his first three years and is up to 21.3 points and 7.1 assists per game. Isaiah Collier missed some time to begin the year, but is averaging 9.8 points and 7.1 assists per game this season.

This year's No. 5 overall pick, Ace Bailey, has scored 20 points and knocked down four 3s in each of his last two games. He has played at least 24 minutes in each of the past four games and recorded at least 19 points, rebounds, and assists combined in each of those games.

Bulls vs Jazz Prediction, Betting Analysis

Despite coming off the bench in each of the last three games, Collier has recorded seven assists twice and had 11 assists against Indiana. This season, he is averaging 50.8 passes per game resulting in 12 potential assists per game. With 12 potential assists tonight, he should record at least seven. He had eight assists against the Bulls last March.

I also expect George to record his share of assists as well. He has at least six assists in all six Utah home games this season. They both may get a couple of assists passing to Markkanen, who has scored 25 points in eight of 12 games this season. He is averaging 23 points in seven career games against the Bulls, scoring 28 or more in four of them.

I will conclude this Jazz parlay with Bailey's PRA line, which he has cleared in each of his last four games. He may get there with the help of the long ball as he has made at least two 3s in three of his past four games.

Pick: Isaiah Coller Over 6.5 Assists (+110, bet365)
