Pistons vs Spurs NBA Preview

The Pistons haven't lost two straight games since late December, but one of their recent losses was against the Spurs in Detroit, just two weeks ago — and it was nationally televised.

The Pistons already have an opportunity for vengeance on the road, as noise is creeping up about them being regular-season bullies amid their home loss to Cleveland on Tuesday, despite Donovan Mitchell being on the sidelines.

The Spurs scored their season-low point total in a loss at Madison Square Garden this past weekend (114-89), and then responded with a 40-point win in Philly the next game, their most lopsided win of the year (131-91).

Maybe this is an NBA Finals preview?

That would surprise me, given that neither core has won a playoff series together yet, especially the Spurs, who are younger and have less playoff experience.

However, I do think they are each capable of getting there. I would just be surprised if they both make it, for what it's worth.

Harrison Barnes (ankle) and Mason Plumlee (conditioning) are out for the Spurs tonight.

The Pistons have a clean injury report as of this morning.

Pistons vs Spurs Predictions, Betting Analysis

Most Improved Player front runner, Jalen Duren, has been kicking butt and taking namessince his suspension, including Victor Wembanyama's in the previous matchup between these two teams.

I caught his points + rebounds over at 28.5 on FanDuel. Although, it's listed at 29.5 everywhere else.

Regardless, in the six games since returning, Duren has recorded 39-39-44-49-26-and-38 PR.

One of those 39s — a 25 and 14 — was against San Antonio.

Duren has recorded at least 13 boards in all but one game during that span. He's scored 24+ points in all but one of those games as well.

Pick: Jalen Duren Over 28.5 Points & Rebounds (-125)
