Knicks vs Bulls NBA Preview

Okay, I will go easy here. Chicago has struggled, but this is a good buy-low spot for them; based on power ratings, they aren’t as bad as they’ve looked.

Meanwhile, it’s a tough spot for New York, who is coming off an emotional comeback win against Detroit for their first victory of the season.

Chicago plays at the No. 1 pace. That’s not ideal for an older road team coming off a high-energy win.

Teams are 5-8 since the start of last year in their next game after facing the Pistons when listed as a road favorite.

Why does that trend matter? Detroit plays a dogged, physical style that takes a toll. Getting on a plane, traveling, and playing again less than 48 hours later is no easy task.

Mike Brown is also 5-7 ATS as a road favorite on a back-to-back since 2023, and 23-28 (45%) ATS overall on back-to-backs.

Knicks vs Bulls Pick, Analysis

The Bulls take a ton of threes, which can help keep them competitive, though they obviously need to start knocking them down.

The opportunities should be there: New York is allowing 45% shooting from beyond the arc so far this season, even if that stat involves some variance.

I have this line projected closer to Bulls +5.4.

I also like Matas Buzelis over 1.5 three-pointers (86 cents).

The Knicks consistently surrender corner threes as part of their defensive scheme, and Buzelis has cleared this mark in his last two games. The volume will remain steady.

I considered trading Caleb Wilson props, but the rookie couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat right now.

Pick: Bulls +7.5 (53 cents)
