Raptors vs Cavaliers NBA Preview

On Monday night, the Cavaliers fell 140-138 in overtime to Miami on an Andrew Wiggins game-winning alley-oop dunk to conclude a wild game. Despite the fact most of their starters were out last night, the Cavaliers took round two from the Heat 130-116.

Jarrett Allen took advantage of the increased opportunities and led the way with 30 points and 10 rebounds on 12-for-20 from the field while Lonzo Ball and Craig Porter Jr. combined for 34 points and 15 assists.

As of this writing, the team has not submitted an injury report, but I would expect Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley to return after resting last night. Cleveland will be looking to even the season series after the Raptors won the first meeting 112-101 in an NBA Cup game.

In that game, they did not have Mitchell, Garland, or Allen, but Mobley had 29 points and eight rebounds. Since then, the Cavaliers have won five of their last six games.

In that game, it was a balanced effort as Brandon Ingram, RJ Barrett, and Jamison Battle each scored 20 points as Scottie Barnes had 14 and 10 rebounds. With the exception of Battle, that is how it has been for the Raptors most nights.

Ingram, Barrett, and Barnes are each averaging between 19 and 21 points per game while Immanuel Quickley is at 15.3 and leads the team with 6.2 assists.

With wins over the Bucks, Hawks (twice) and Cavaliers already, the Raptors have a look of a team that will be a tough out this season. They currently rank 10th in offensive rating and pace and 16th in defensive rating as they incorporate Ingram in with the rest of the group.

Assuming Mobley and Allen both play, this could be a game where Jakob Poeltl sees more minutes. The 30-year-old did not play in the first meeting, but he has a double-double in each of his last two games while nearly missing a third.

Raptors vs Cavaliers Prediction, Betting Analysis

Last season, head coach Kenny Atkinson asked Mitchell to take a slight step back for more team success.

He played a career-low 31.4 minutes per game while averaging 24 points per game, his fewest since the 2019-20 season.

While buoyed by 51/40/84 shooting splits, Mitchell is averaging 30.4 points per game while scoring at least 24 points in nine of those games.

He also is averaging 5.4 assists per game and has had at least five assists in each of his last six games.

As a result, he has cleared over 32.5 points + assists in seven of 10 games this season and two of three with Garland in the lineup.

Tonight, Garland may not be available after he suffered a toe injury on Monday and Ball will not play on the second night of a back-to-back.

That may mean even more usage for Mitchell tonight. If he happens to play NBA2k26 online before this game, he may even score 40 points as well.

Additionally, Mobley is averaging 20.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game this season.

He has cleared 30+ PRA in nine of 11 games this season. He has also reached that number in four of his last six games against Toronto.

I'll cap this parlay with Ingram, who has had at least three assists in 20 consecutive games dating back to last season.

Now averaging four assists per game, he has had at least four assists in each of his last seven games with five against Cleveland.

Pick: Donovan Mitchell Over 32.5 Points + Assists (-115, bet365)
