Buffalo vs FIU College Football Preview
Two teams with opposite Week 1 box scores 1 are set to collide in Week 2.
Starting in the MAC, Buffalo survived Albany's onslaught and escaped with a 21-17 victory. The Bulls held the narrow edge in yards per play on the Great Danes but committed 10 penalties for 119 yards.
Quarterback Elijah Holmes did have a fantastic game, though, with three touchdowns. However, Buffalo pass-catchers combined for a total of five drops.
One box score fraud from Week 1 came in Florida International's loss to South Florida.
The Panthers traveled north to Tampa and nearly doubled the Bulls in total yards. USF checked in at 3.7 overall yards per play, well short of FIU at 5.1.
The downfall came in the turnover department, as the Panthers went 3-for-7 on fourth-down attempts. Three of their final four possessions also ended with an interception or fumble.
