Notable College Football Bets: A $10,000 Bet on Ohio State and a $10,000 Bet on… Kansas?

The 2022 college football season is officially upon us.
That means that sportsbooks have taken all kinds of bets on the college football season as some bettors have gotten especially aggressive.
BetMGM sent out the notable wagers they have taken for the college football season, and there are certainly some interesting ones.
National Championship Bets
$10,000 to Win $60,000 on Ohio State to Win the National Championship (+600)
This actually appears to be a brilliant bet as we're just a few days away from the Buckeyes' first game of the season. It's also arguably their biggest game as Notre Dame enters the Horseshoe. You'd be hard-pressed to find Ohio State anywhere close to +600 as the Buckeyes are currently +320 to win the National Championship on BetMGM.
$2,000 to Win $70,000 on USC to Win the National Championship (+3500)
Everybody is excited to see what Lincoln Riley does at USC, but can he take the Trojans all the way in year one?
$500 to Win $70,000 on North Carolina State to Win the National Championship (+15000)
There's a lot of hype in Raleigh as quarterback Devin Leary returns for his senior season. Leary has been billed as one of the top returning quarterbacks in the nation. The Wolfpack have a tough opener on the road against in-state rival East Carolina.
$100 to Win $100,000 on UTEP to Win the National Championship (+100000)
This bet might as well find the garbage can as UTEP already lost its opener against North Texas 31-13 at home.
Heisman Trophy Bets
$650 to Win $130,000 on Cade McNamara to Win the Heisman (+20000)
This is going to be a tough bet considering McNamara is already guaranteed to back up J.J. McCarthy in at least one game and is still in the midst of a quarterback battle.
SEC Championship Bets
$1,000 to Win $66,000 on Ole Miss to Win the SEC Championship (+6600)
Lane Kiffin has made the fan base believe again in Oxford. Could this be the year?
$1,000 to Win $50,000 on Tennessee to Win the SEC Championship (+5000)

Random Bet
$10,000 on Kansas Over 2.5 Regular Season Wins (-135)
Of all the teams to place a $10,000 bet on its win total, this bettor chose Kansas. God help this person's soul.
