The Tennessee Volunteers play a virtual home game as they travel 180 miles to Nashville to take on the Purdue Boilermakers in the Music City Bowl.

That should give them a distinct advantage with the crowd as well.

The Vols exceeded expectations in their first year under head coach Josh Heupel.

Heupel took a team that was ranked 109th of 128 in scoring offense last season (21.5 points per game) to 21st in the nation this season (38.8). The Vols finished with a 7-5 record and were 5-7 against the spread (ATS).

The Boilermakers had a typical Purdue season. They lost to some teams they shouldn't have and beat some teams they weren't expected to beat including Michigan State and Iowa on the road.

The Boilermakers finished 8-4 and 7-5 ATS.

Our PRO projections from senior college football writer Collin Wilson has found an edge in this game.
