Ohio and Akron open the night, followed by Buffalo and Miami (OH) in the nightcap. I have six picks in each game, and these are the CFB best bets today I like most.
Ohio vs. Akron Prediction
Ohio (6-2, 4-0 MAC) sits atop the conference and visits Akron (1-7, 0-4 MAC) for a Week 10 game on ESPN2. The Bobcats are a double-digit favorite in the CFB odds, which shapes how I view every player market in this game.
The matchup points toward the Bobcats’ offense. Akron has allowed 5.8 yards per rush and 18 touchdown passes through eight games, and its opponents are scoring 32.8 points per game.
That combination is why O lean Over on both quarterbacks and Ohio’s skill players in my CFB predictions.
Akron is not without weapons. Brayden Roggow has 1,343 passing yards and seven touchdown passes, while Jordan Gant leads the Zips with 618 rushing yards. Ohio’s defense allows 21.9 points per game, which ranks 50th in the FBS.
Best Passing Touchdown Prop Today – Brayden Roggow Over 0.5 Touchdowns
My best bet on this market is:
| 🏈 CFB Prediction | 🏷️ Position | Price | 🤑 Return on $100 | 📈 Trade It Now |
|---|---|---|---|
| Brayden Roggow Passing TDs 0.5 | Over | 73.68% | $135.71 | Trade it now on ProphetX! |
Roggow has thrown seven touchdown passes in eight games, and Akron has only 11 as a team, so the offense runs through his arm. Against a double-digit favorite, the Zips are more likely to be throwing from behind, which helps a one-touchdown line.
The risk is a poor night for the whole offense. Akron scores 19.0 points per game and Roggow has thrown 10 interceptions, so a touchdown is far from guaranteed. At 73.68%, this is the most expensive trade on the card, but it only needs one scoring pass.
A $100 ticket at 73.68% buys about 136 contracts, each paying $1 if the Over hits, for a $135.71 return. About $368 is available at that price, so the full ticket fills.
- If Roggow throws at least one touchdown pass, the $100 ticket returns $135.71.
- If he throws none, the full $100 is lost.
That is a payout multiple of roughly 1.36x the amount staked.
Best Rushing Yards Prop Today – Jordan Gant Over 82.5 Yards
I'm taking:
| 🏈 CFB Prediction | 🏷️ Position | Price | 🤑 Return on $100 | 📈 Trade It Now |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jordan Gant Rushing Yards 82.5 | Over | 55.95% | $178.74 | Trade it now on ProphetX! |
Gant is the engine of Akron’s offense, with 618 rushing yards on 127 carries, according to ESPN. That works out to about 77 yards per game, so this line asks for a modest step up. He ran for 102 yards and a touchdown against Central Michigan earlier this season.
The concern is game script. If Ohio builds a big lead, Akron could abandon the run, which is why this prop is priced near a coin flip. Ohio’s defense also ranks 45th in yards allowed at 333.4 per game, so it is solid but not elite.
A $100 ticket at 55.95% buys about 179 contracts, for a $178.74 return. About $280 is available at that price.
- If Gant rushes for 83 or more yards, the $100 ticket returns $178.74.
- If he finishes with 82 or fewer, the full $100 is lost.
The payout multiple is roughly 1.79x.
Best Passing Touchdown Prop Today – Nick Poulos Over 1.5 Touchdowns
My play here:
| 🏈 CFB Prediction | 🏷️ Position | Price | 🤑 Return on $100 | 📈 Trade It Now |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nick Poulos Passing TDs 1.5 | Over | 53.49% | $186.96 | Trade it now on ProphetX! |
Poulos has 781 passing yards, six touchdown passes, and no interceptions in five games. He has thrown two or more touchdown passes only once, when he threw three against Central Michigan, so this is a bet on the matchup rather than the sample.
The matchup is the reason. Akron’s opponents have thrown 18 touchdown passes in eight games, an average of 2.25 per game, and the Zips are allowing 7.7 yards per attempt through the air.
A $100 ticket at 53.49% buys about 187 contracts, for a $186.96 return. Liquidity is thin, with only about $7 resting at 53.49% and the next level at 56.9%, so a full $100 order would walk up the book.
- If Poulos throws two or more touchdown passes, the $100 ticket returns $186.96.
- If he throws one or none, the full $100 is lost.
That is a payout multiple of roughly 1.87x.
Best Rushing Yards Prop Today – Victor Rosa Over 46.5 Yards
Here’s the ticket:
| 🏈 CFB Prediction | 🏷️ Position | Price | 🤑 Return on $100 | 📈 Trade It Now |
|---|---|---|---|
| Victor Rosa Rushing Yards 46.5 | Over | 53.27% | $187.72 | Trade it now on ProphetX! |
Rosa, a graduate transfer from UConn, leads Ohio with 364 rushing yards, according to ESPN. Over eight games, that is about 45.5 yards per game, right at this number.
Akron’s run defense is the draw. The Zips have allowed 5.8 yards per carry, and Ohio ranks 37th in the FBS at 4.9 yards per carry.
The catch is that Ohio spreads carries around, with Duncan Brune and Irving Brown both posting big games recently, so Rosa’s workload is not guaranteed.
A $100 ticket at 53.27% buys about 188 contracts, for a $187.72 return. Only about $56 rests at that price and the next level jumps to 74.36%, so a full $100 order would not fill at the quoted price.
- If Rosa rushes for 47 or more yards, the $100 ticket returns $187.72.
- If he finishes with 46 or fewer, the full $100 is lost.
The payout multiple is roughly 1.88x.
Best Receiving Yards Prop Today – Preston Bowman Over 31.5 Yards
In this spot, I'm going with:
| 🏈 CFB Prediction | 🏷️ Position | Price | 🤑 Return on $100 | 📈 Trade It Now |
|---|---|---|---|
| Preston Bowman Receiving Yards 31.5 | Over | 52.83% | $189.29 | Trade it now on ProphetX! |
Bowman, a redshirt freshman who transferred in from Kentucky, has 16 catches for 198 yards and two touchdowns through eight games.
His average of roughly 25 yards per game sits below this line, but he has shown big-play ability, including a 94-yard game at Sacramento State built on a 67-yard touchdown.
Akron’s secondary is the reason to lean Over. The Zips have allowed 7.7 yards per pass attempt and 18 touchdown passes, and big plays like Bowman’s 67-yarder are how a receiver clears 31.5 on a few catches. It is still a volatile line, since one long catch can decide it.
A $100 ticket at 52.83% buys about 189 contracts, for a $189.29 return. Only about $55 rests at that price and the next level jumps to 74.03%, so size accordingly.
- If Bowman finishes with 32 or more receiving yards, the $100 ticket returns $189.29.
- If he finishes with 31 or fewer, the full $100 is lost.
That is a payout multiple of roughly 1.89x.
Best Receptions Prop Today – Preston Bowman Over 3.5 Receptions
As a long shot, I'm adding:
| 🏈 CFB Prediction | 🏷️ Position | Price | 🤑 Return on $100 | 📈 Trade It Now |
|---|---|---|---|
| Preston Bowman Receptions 3.5 | Over | 35.46% | $282.00 | Trade it now on ProphetX! |
This is the longshot on the Ohio side. Bowman has 16 receptions in eight games, about two per game, and his most recent outing was a four-catch game against Eastern Michigan.
He needs four catches to cash. If Poulos throws more than usual and Bowman keeps seeing targets, as he did when he was targeted seven times at Sacramento State, it is reachable, but it is a smaller-sample bet than most on this board.
A $100 ticket at 35.46% buys about 282 contracts, for a $282.00 return. Only about $54 is available at that price and there is no resting liquidity on the Under side, so this is one to size down.
- If Bowman catches four or more passes, the $100 ticket returns $282.00.
- If he catches three or fewer, the full $100 is lost.
The payout multiple is roughly 2.82x, the biggest on the Ohio side of the card.
Buffalo vs. Miami (OH) Prediction
Buffalo (5-3, 3-1 MAC) visits Miami (OH) (5-3, 3-1 MAC) for a Tuesday game on ESPN at Yager Stadium, with both teams one loss deep in conference play.
The RedHawks are a favorite of about 6.5 points and have won three in a row, including a 28-27 comeback at Central Michigan.
Miami has done it with a new quarterback. Caleb Heavner, a Fort Hays State transfer, took over after David McComb’s season-ending injury and is 3-1 as the starter. He is expected to make his fifth start in this one.
All six picks in this game come from the RedHawks’ side, and they are some of my best college football picks today. Buffalo’s pass defense has allowed 7.4 yards per attempt (87th in the FBS), while Miami’s run defense allows only 3.4 yards per carry.
Messiah Burch (845 rushing yards, five touchdowns) is the focal point of Buffalo’s offense, so I'm leaving the Bulls’ side alone and backing Miami’s skill players in my NCAA predictions.
Best Rushing Yards Prop Today – D’Shawntae Jones Over 25.5 Yards
In this game, I'm starting with:
| 🏈 CFB Prediction | 🏷️ Position | Price | 🤑 Return on $100 | 📈 Trade It Now |
|---|---|---|---|
| D’Shawntae Jones Rushing Yards 25.5 | Over | 55.75% | $179.37 | Trade it now on ProphetX! |
Jones is a key piece of Miami’s backfield, and he scored the 2-yard touchdown run that beat Central Michigan late. In that game he finished with 25 yards on eight carries, half a yard short of this line, so the number is set right where his recent usage lands.
Miami is the favorite, and teams protecting a lead run the ball. If the RedHawks are ahead late, Jones should see enough carries to clear the number, especially near the goal line.
A $100 ticket at 55.75% buys about 179 contracts, for a $179.37 return. About $279 is available at that price.
- If Jones rushes for 26 or more yards, the $100 ticket returns $179.37.
- If he finishes with 25 or fewer, the full $100 is lost.
The payout multiple is roughly 1.79x.
Best Passing Yards Prop Today – Caleb Heavner Over 193.5 Yards
I'm also taking:
| 🏈 CFB Prediction | 🏷️ Position | Price | 🤑 Return on $100 | 📈 Trade It Now |
|---|---|---|---|
| Caleb Heavner Passing Yards 193.5 | Over | 55.16% | $181.30 | Trade it now on ProphetX! |
Heavner has cleared this number in two of his four starts, throwing for 198 yards against Bowling Green and a career-high 221 at Central Michigan. The two starts in between totaled just 160 yards combined, so the range of outcomes is wide.
Buffalo’s pass defense allows 7.4 yards per attempt, 87th in the FBS, while Miami’s passing attack averages 8.4 yards per attempt on the season, 24th in the FBS. Part of that came before the quarterback change, so the edge is real but not guaranteed.
A $100 ticket at 55.16% buys about 181 contracts, for a $181.30 return. About $276 is available at that price.
- If Heavner throws for 194 or more yards, the $100 ticket returns $181.30.
- If he finishes with 193 or fewer, the full $100 is lost.
That is a payout multiple of roughly 1.81x.
Best Rushing Yards Prop Today – Rodney Nelson Over 53.5 Yards
My best bet for this player is:
| 🏈 CFB Prediction | 🏷️ Position | Price | 🤑 Return on $100 | 📈 Trade It Now |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rodney Nelson Rushing Yards 53.5 | Over | 55.16% | $181.30 | Trade it now on ProphetX! |
Nelson leads Miami with 391 rushing yards, according to ESPN, which is about 49 per game across eight games. He ran 16 times for 70 yards against Bowling Green, and he added 43 yards and a touchdown at Central Michigan.
This line sits slightly above his season average, so it needs a typical Nelson workload plus a little help from the game script.
With Miami favored and a team that controlled possession for more than 31 minutes at Central Michigan, the lead back should get enough chances.
A $100 ticket at 55.16% buys about 181 contracts, for a $181.30 return. About $276 is available at that price.
- If Nelson rushes for 54 or more yards, the $100 ticket returns $181.30.
- If he finishes with 53 or fewer, the full $100 is lost.
The payout multiple is roughly 1.81x.
Best Receiving Yards Prop Today – Lynel Billups-Williams Over 29.5 Yards
Next up, I'm taking:
| 🏈 CFB Prediction | 🏷️ Position | Price | 🤑 Return on $100 | 📈 Trade It Now |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lynel Billups-Williams Receiving Yards 29.5 | Over | 55.16% | $181.30 | Trade it now on ProphetX! |
Billups-Williams has become a real part of the offense after catching only six passes all of last season. He had 19 catches for 265 yards through Miami’s first five games, and he caught four passes for 75 yards and a touchdown against Bowling Green.
The line sits well below his early-season pace, and Buffalo’s pass defense has allowed 7.4 yards per attempt. The risk is target competition, since Damarion Witten and Maleek Huggins both draw heavy looks.
A $100 ticket at 55.16% buys about 181 contracts, for a $181.30 return. About $276 is available at that price.
- If Billups-Williams finishes with 30 or more receiving yards, the $100 ticket returns $181.30.
- If he finishes with 29 or fewer, the full $100 is lost.
That is a payout multiple of roughly 1.81x.
Best Receiving Yards Prop Today – Damarion Witten Over 31.5 Yards
My pick for this receiver is:
| 🏈 CFB Prediction | 🏷️ Position | Price | 🤑 Return on $100 | 📈 Trade It Now |
|---|---|---|---|
| Damarion Witten Receiving Yards 31.5 | Over | 53.92% | $185.47 | Trade it now on ProphetX! |
Witten, an Ohio State transfer, is Miami’s home-run threat. He caught a 75-yard touchdown at Pittsburgh early in the season and had 12 catches for 274 yards through the first five games.
He has stayed involved since the quarterback change, with three catches for 41 yards and a touchdown at Central Michigan, which would have cleared this line. Buffalo’s defense allows 7.4 yards per pass attempt, so one deep shot could do most of the work.
A $100 ticket at 53.92% buys about 185 contracts, for a $185.47 return. About $270 is available at that price.
- If Witten finishes with 32 or more receiving yards, the $100 ticket returns $185.47.
- If he finishes with 31 or fewer, the full $100 is lost.
The payout multiple is roughly 1.85x.
Best Passing Touchdown Prop Today – Caleb Heavner Over 1.5 Touchdowns
For a longshot, I'm going with:
| 🏈 CFB Prediction | 🏷️ Position | Price | 🤑 Return on $100 | 📈 Trade It Now |
|---|---|---|---|
| Caleb Heavner Passing TDs 1.5 | Over | 37.59% | $266.00 | Trade it now on ProphetX! |
This is the biggest longshot in the game. Heavner threw exactly one touchdown pass against Bowling Green and again at Central Michigan, so two is a step up from what I've seen.
He is also a runner, with a 27-yard touchdown at Central Michigan, so some of Miami’s scoring comes on the ground rather than through the air.
That is why the market prices two touchdown passes at only 37.59%, and why I treat this as a smaller play against a Buffalo pass defense that has allowed 7.4 yards per attempt.
A $100 ticket at 37.59% buys about 266 contracts, for a $266.00 return. Only about $30 is available at that price and there is no resting liquidity on the Under side, so keep the size small.
- If Heavner throws two or more touchdown passes, the $100 ticket returns $266.00.
- If he throws one or none, the full $100 is lost.
The payout multiple is roughly 2.66x, the biggest on the Miami (OH) side of the card.
What’s Moving the Market on Tuesday’s NCAAF Odds
ProphetX’s player boards show a mix of near coin flips and clear leans. The heaviest price on my card is Roggow’s Over 0.5 touchdown passes at 73.68%, while the yardage lines for Gant, Jones, Heavner, Nelson, and Billups-Williams all sit between 55% and 56% on the Over.
Liquidity is the story on the receiver and touchdown boards. Bowman’s receiving yards and receptions lines, Poulos’s touchdown line, and Heavner’s touchdown line each show only about $7 to $55 resting at the best Over price, and several show no resting liquidity on the Under side.
Expect those prices to move quickly once more money arrives, and expect larger orders to fill at worse prices. Correlation matters too. Heavner’s yardage and touchdown props both need a productive passing game, and Bowman’s two props both need the same targets, so treat them as related bets rather than separate ones.
For broader context, compare these prices with the latest NCAAF Odds, where Ohio is a double-digit favorite and Miami (OH) is favored by roughly 6.5 points in the current CFB odds, and browse the full prediction markets hub for more boards.

Final Thoughts on My College Football Predictions
The best NCAAF picks today come down to two ideas: Ohio’s favorable matchup against an Akron defense that has been giving up yards and touchdowns, and a competitive Miami (OH) home game where the RedHawks’ skill players have clear paths to Overs.
Together, they make up a card of college football player props that spans passing, rushing, and receiving markets.
If you want a smaller card, most of the yardage trades and Roggow’s touchdown line have the deepest books. The Bowman and Heavner longs hots are the riskier plays, and my CFB best bets today are sized accordingly.
Whether you follow college football predictions, CFB predictions, or NCAA predictions, the prices above are the ones to shop against, and they stack up well against the current CFB odds.
Looking ahead, check the latest NCAAF Futures and find more NCAAF Prediction Market Promo Codes for the rest of the season. I'll have more of the best college football picks today as the MAC race tightens.
