Bears vs Patriots Preview

We've got an intriguing matchup between playoff contenders, as the New England Patriots (4-2) take on the Chicago Bears (4-2). It's a clash of two of the best quarterbacks in the 2024 NFL Draft class, with Drake Maye going head-to-head with Caleb Williams.

I'll start off my Patriots vs. Bears TNF parlay with Over 50.5.

These are two fast-paced teams, so we could see a lot of volume in terms of plays called. On top of that, we're getting favorable weather conditions at Soldier Field. Temperatures are expected to be in the low 60s with minimal wind and no rain. That's exactly the kind of weather you want in a potential shootout.

Also, the Patriots have combined for 100 points in their last three games, and the Bears have 30+ points in two of three games with Caleb Williams, so you can see why this looks to be high-scoring. All we need is a 27-24 common scoreline to get this one home.

I'll add A.J. Brown Over 69.5 Receiving Yards.

Not only do we get a favorable game environment in a projected high-scoring affair, but I also like the coverage matchup here. The Bears are fourth in man coverage rate and ninth in single-high coverage rate.

Brown can take the top off an opposing defense, so playing this way can leave the Bears vulnerable to explosive plays downfield. We saw that in the Packers game, when Christian Watson and Matthew Golden torched them.

I'll finish this SGP with D'Andre Swift Over 61.5 Rushing Yards.

While Roschon Johnson played a big role last week, he's not as good as Kyle Monangai, who's still out. We could see the Bears lean on Swift more than usual on a short week here.

On top of that, the Patriots are tougher against the pass (14th in EPA) than the run (24th in EPA). I'm betting Ben Johnson will exploit that weakness by feeding his more explosive back, Swift.
