Tonight, the NFL Honors ceremony in San Francisco will officially recognize the masterminds behind the 2025-26 season. While the spotlight often shines on the players, the AP Coach of the Year market on Kalshi has become one of the most active sectors as we approach the 9 p.m. ET awards show.

Currently, Mike Vrabel is the heavy favorite, and his case is nearly ironclad. The Contenders for NFL Coach of the Year

Despite Vrabel’s dominance, two other names remain in the conversation:

Mike Macdonald: The Seahawks’ coach oversaw a franchise-record 14 wins and built the league's #1 scoring defense. Traders holding Macdonald contracts are banking on a "best team in the league" bias from the voters.
Ben Johnson: Though he has since departed Detroit, Johnson’s offensive wizardry during the regular season kept the Lions among the league's elite, earning him a mention as a long-shot finalist.

On Kalshi, prices will continue to fluctuate until the announcement. If you believe the "turnaround" narrative is overvalued compared to Macdonald’s defensive dominance, there is still a window to capitalize on the volatility before the winner is revealed.

If Vrabel comes out on top, it'll be quite the turnaround considering his firing from the Titans in 2024. Interestingly, Vrabel was a contender in the early COTY predictions in the beginning of the season. A 2025-26 victory would be his second time winning the AP NFL Coach of the Year award.
