New York Giants Betting Preview: Giant Frauds

Don't buy the hype with the 3-1 Giants. Their back-to-back home wins came against the Titans and Cardinals — two of the worst teams in the league who both turned the ball over at the goal line with a chance to win.

Offensively, New York has completely stalled since losing Jaxson Dart for the season. Since he went down, their rush success rate has plummeted to 29%, which ranks dead last in the NFL.

Defenses can simply key in on the run game and Cam Skattebo with Jameis Winston posing no threat as a rusher.

Speaking of Winston, he is entirely helpless against the blitz, currently averaging a horrific 3.8 yards per attempt against extra pressure this season.

That said, he was able to get Malik Nabers going last week against the Cardinals as the WR racked up 112 yards and a touchdown.

Washington Commanders Betting Preview: Jayden Daniels Returns

The Commanders are coming off a loss in London where they actually outplayed the Colts by 1.5 yards per play despite being down to third-string quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis.

The good news is that Jayden Daniels is returning to the lineup today. While he will be wearing a brace — which raises questions about his willingness to absorb contact and shed blockers — his presence completely changes the Commanders' rushing dynamic.

With Daniels, Washington has the third-highest explosive run rate in the NFL. Without him, they are last. They are also expecting offensive lineman Sam Cosmi back.

Defensively, the Commanders are vastly improved under new defensive coordinator Daronte Jones. As a Brian Flores disciple, Jones blitzes at the second-highest rate in the league to clog up running lanes on early downs, which is exactly why Washington boasts a league-best 25% stuff rate and is allowing just 3.8 yards per carry with zero rushing touchdowns allowed.

Giants vs Commanders Prediction, Betting Analysis

This is a classic buy-low, sell-high spot against a fraudulent Giants team that was gifted two wins.

Washington's heavy blitz scheme is going to put Jameis Winston in a blender and force the game-changing mistakes that he is known for.

Meanwhile, Washington's run game gets a massive boost with Jayden Daniels returning.

Pick: Commanders -3.5 (-120)
