Atlanta Falcons 2025 Season Preview
The Atlanta Falcons had yet another underwhelming season in 2024, finishing with an 8-9 record. The 2024 season featured plenty of turmoil for the Falcons as the team moved on from veteran Kirk Cousins as their starting quarterback and head coach Raheem Morris was in his first season with that title. There is reason for optimism in Atlanta heading into the 2025 season, however.
The Falcons turn to Michael Penix Jr. at quarterback to start the season and he has plenty of weapons to work with. Star running back Bijan Robinson remains in the fold and the Falcons still have a receiving corps that features wide receivers Drake London and Darnell Mooney, and tight end Kyle Pitts. The defense remains one of the worst in the NFL, but if Atlanta can make any strides on that end of the field, they are likely to make some noise in the NFC playoff picture.
Betting on the Atlanta Falcons
Atlanta Falcons Point Spreads
Betting Falcons spreads are wagers based on the expectation that a team will win or lose by a certain number of points.
Here’s an example of a Falcons spread:
- Falcons +4.5 (+110)
- Buccaneers -4.5 (-110)
In this situation, the Falcons are 4.5-point underdogs against the Buccaneers. If Tampa wins the game by five or more points, a $100 wager on the Bucs will come with a payout of $90.91. If Atlanta won the game outright or lost by four points or less, the same $100 wager would net $110 plus the original $100 for a total of $210.

Atlanta Falcons Over/Unders
Over/under, also called point total, is a wager placed on the combined scoring of a single game. Bookmakers come up with a number, and you can either bet the over or — you guessed it — the under. Here’s how it works:
The Falcons play the Panthers; the over/under is 51 points. A wager on the over would require Atlanta and Carolina to score 52 total points or more to win. Betting the under is an expectation that the two teams would score 50 or fewer points. It's also possible for the bet to push, which would happen if the game finished with exactly 50 points scored.

Atlanta Falcons Moneylines
The moneyline is as straightforward as it gets when it comes to betting. The only thing to do here is to pick the winner. Check out this example:
- Falcons +190
- Saints -220
The minus (-) and (+) signs distinguish the favorite from the underdog, making New Orleans the favorite in this scenario. Odds can be understood more clearly in terms of $10 or $100 increments. A wager on the Falcons' odds would profit $190 for every $100 bet. And it's the opposite for favorites: Here, the Saints moneyline was set at -220, meaning every $220 bet nets $100.
Moneylines are also commonly used when making parlays, which are multiple bets tied into one. Let’s say you bet the Falcons moneyline and the over on a 44.5-point total. Atlanta would need to win, with the total final score being 45 points or more for that bet to be successful. The risk is greater, but so is the reward with increased odds. Atlanta Falcons Props
Player props are wagers on a single player, and they're tied to a single stat found in the box score for a game or even the whole season. These are among the most fun to bet on, especially if you're already playing fantasy football and like the player-specific focus it offers. Check out a hypothetical example below:
- Drake London receiving yards: 1,125.5
So, if Pitts records 1126+ receiving yards, that prop bet wins.
Atlanta Falcons Futures
Futures are somewhat similar to prop bets in that both are monitored over the course of a season. Except most future bets are focused on the end of season success. Examples of futures are:
- Atlanta Falcons odds to win the NFC South
- Atlanta Falcons odds to win the NFC
- Atlanta Falcons odds to win the Super Bowl

How to Bet on the Atlanta Falcons
Unfortunately sports betting is not currently legal in Georgia, but there is legislation in the works that could change that in the near future. In the meantime, though, residents can enjoy legal alternatives to online sports betting like dailiy fantasy games. PrizePicks is among the most simple and exciting DFS games in North America because users just have to place their bets, pick their favorite players, and choose over/under totals for a chance to win cash. This is a great way for Falcons fans to get even more out of every Sunday!
