Seahawks vs Steelers NFL Week 2 Preview
The Seahawks' backfield did not look how we expected it to look in their first game of the season as Zach Charbonnet wound up taking the majority of the meaningful work instead of Kenneth Walker Jr. The former was also more efficient with his touches.
Charbonnet recorded 12 carries for 47 rushing yards and a touchdown against the 49ers while Walker tallied just 10 carries for 20 yards on the ground.
The Seahawks also rushed at one of the highest rates in the league last week, ranking 31st in pass rate over expectation.
The matchup against the Steelers' is tough as they have a stout defense and rank fifth in defensive rush DVOA entering Week 2.
However, these odds are great given the distribution of last week's carries for Seattle. Also, don't forget that the Jets managed to total 182 rushing yards and three touchdowns against the Steelers in Week 1.
Charbonnet is likely the 1A for the Seahawks out of the backfield, or at the very least, he appears to be 1B in an offense that will likely continue to run the ball at one of the highest rates in the league.
