The 2024-25 Serie A season is shaping up to be a good one. We only have 2 points separating the top-6 teams, so the next few weeks will be crucial.
Juventus are having an interesting start to the season as they stand in 6th place through 12 games. However, they remain one of the only unbeaten sides in Europe, recording 6 wins and 6 draws. Their last clash with a top side was against Inter Milan, a 4-4 thriller a few weeks ago. They've since won their past two Serie A games.
AC Milan is a spot behind Juventus in the table with a game in hand. The Rossoneri have alternated between ups and downs, one week beating Real Madrid 3-1, and the next drawing 3-3 to 16th-place Cagliari. Christian Pulisic's been Milan's best player, and they would be in a much worse position if it wasn't for the USMNT's captain.
Here is my Juventus vs. AC Milan prediction and Serie A odds for today's match.

Juventus Prediction
Juventus have been a defensive monster under Thiago Motta. They have only conceded seven goals, with four of them coming in that game against Inter. They have the best defense in the league with nine clean sheets in 12 games. Their one loss surprisingly came in the Champions League against a valiant Stuttgart side where Juventus struggled to create any kind of attacking threat, recording 0.2 expected goals.
Motta is starting to find some consistency in his 11. Juventus have used a 4-2-3-1 in their past three games, and some players have cemented their place in the lineup. Turkish forward Kenan Yildiz is dynamite on the left. He scored two second-half goals in the 4-4 draw with Inter and is a threat whenever he gets the ball. Andrea Cambiaso plays behind him as the left-back and complements him very well. On the right, Tim Weah has received consistent playing time and has chipped in with four goals in the league.
The American shares the wing with Francisco Conceicao, who has looked very promising. Up front, Dusan Vlahovic has alternated the spectacular with more moderated performances. His two goals in the epic 3-2 victory over Leipzig are a testament to his talent, but if Juventus want to truly be in the race for the Seria A title, he needs to do more.
In that game against Leipzig, Juventus was down 2-1 with a red card, and still managed to pull off the comeback. That was probably their best game of the season. Juventus' defense has been beyond impressive, and their attack is up there with the league's best. While they are sixth with 24 points, that could easily change, as they are only two points behind first place. The Serie A title chase is very competitive so far and Juventus look like they'll definitely be a part of the race.
AC Milan Prediction
AC Milan fans have already been on an emotional rollercoaster this season. Milan stands seventh in a hyper-competitive Serie A, and 20th in the Champions League table.
Under new coach Paulo Fonseca, some star players have had trouble finding their feet, such as Theo Hernandez and Portuguese winger Rafael Leao. The latter seems to be getting closer to his usual self, scoring two goals along with an assist in his past two games for Milan. Pulisic has been the only constant since the start of the season and carried that form in his latest games with the USA. He has eight goal contributions in the league across 11 games.
Another spark has been Dutchman Tijjani Reijnders. The center mid has been excellent the past few weeks, scoring four goals in his past five games for Milan. His assist for Leao in the game against Cagliari was pure inspiration.
AC Milan has conceded two or more goals in seven games, and Juventus have scored three goals or more in six games. Milan are unlikely to keep a clean sheet, but I do see them scoring. They are coming off a 2-0 loss to Napoli at home. They had won three home league games on the bounce before that, scoring eight goals. The last time they went goalless for two straight games at the San Siro was in November 2023, and before that — September 2012.
Juventus vs. AC Milan Prediction
The is the biggest rivalry in Italian soccer. The Derby d'Italia has been played 241 times in official matches, with Juventus leading Milan 93 wins to 78, with 70 games ending in a draw.
If Milan don't want to be left behind, they need a result here, and scoring against Juventus has proven more than difficult, but Pulisic is in full flow and Leao seems to have finally decided to start his season . I think it'll be a close one, but I definitely expect goals on both ends. My pick is for the over to hit, and at +122 for 2.5 goals, I like it a lot. I am pairing it up with both teams to score at -112.
