Things could become pretty electric bright and early Saturday when Manchester City welcomes high-flying Leeds United to Etihad Stadium in what should be a wild affair.

The Cityzens, who continue to dominate proceedings on both the domestic and international playing fields, enter this match winners of three on the bounce in England's top flight. They're sitting 14 points clear of second-place rival Manchester United on the table, with the league championship in sight.

On the other side, the Peacocks earned back-to-back 2-1 victories over relegation outfits Fulham and Sheffield United in their most recent outings. Leeds, which continues to enjoy its return to the country's first division, is currently in 11th place and tied on 42 points with Arsenal.

Let's take a look at these clubs and see what might be on deck.

Manchester City

Manager Pep Guardiola and the Cityzens are firing on all cylinders, much like they have been throughout their entire campaign across Europe. They've absolutely dominated affairs against the best in England, with sights set on a Champions League trophy.

Manchester City took a step toward potentially realizing that goal — and perhaps even pulling off an extremely rare quadruple — with their midweek victory over Borussia Dortmund at the Etihad. The club needed a late goal from Phil Foden to take the lead heading into next week's second leg in Germany, but it should be confident in getting through to the semifinal round.

It will be interesting to see what kind of lineup Guardiola sends out there against the Peacocks, who are actually credited with one of the lone blemishes on the Cityzens' otherwise immaculate record. Manchester City had to settle for a 1-1 stalemate against Leeds way back on Oct. 3 at Elland Road.

The Cityzens weren't that sharp that day, even losing the expected-goals battle against Leeds by a 1.7-1.5 margin in the draw. Needless to say, they might be looking for a little revenge on home soil in this latest meeting.

Leeds

The Peacocks are simply non-stop entertainment every time they step on the pitch. My affinity for this team has grown even deeper as the season has progressed. I really thought Leeds had a chance at finishing inside the top 10 in the standings a few matches into their campaign, so it's nice to see this team continue to progress into that direction.

Obviously, it's hard for anyone outside the Leeds circle to get overly excited about its latest two wins since they came against desperate foes fighting for their Premier League lives at the bottom of the table.

However, you still have to take care of business of those below you and the Peacocks did just that in both victories. They won the xG battle against Fulham (1.5-1.4) and Sheffield United (2.5-1.0), which has to give them confidence entering this second confrontation with Manchester City.

Betting Analysis & Pick

This match has the makings of being a wide-open, back-and-forth affair between sides who have something to play for in this fixture.

Manchester City wants to lock up the league title as soon as possible, so it can focus on Champions League play. As for Leeds, finishing in the top half of the league has to be the lone goal on its plate down the stretch.

That said, I fully expect an open game that's going to favor the Cityzens. In my opinion, it simply doesn't matter who Guardiola sends out in his starting XI against Leeds. The Cityzens are too deep and too strong in all parts of the pitch, which should give the Peacocks fits.

For those reasons, I'm backing Manchester City -1.5 on the spread as my top pick. I will sprinkle a little on both teams to score at fair -112 odds as well. The Peacocks have been in top form as of late, so don't be surprised if they get on past the Cityzens' defense.

Pick: Manchester City -1.5 (-120) | Both Teams To Score — Yes (-121)
