The World Cup is quickly approaching, and several contenders are already emerging: Lamine Yamal’s Spain, Kylian Mbappé’s France, Lionel Messi’s Argentina, and of course, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal.

The Portuguese forward, currently playing for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia, has his sights set not only on lifting the Saudi Pro League trophy, but also on reaching a massive personal milestone — scoring his 1,000th career goal. He currently stands at 954.

In June 2025, Ronaldo signed a lucrative two-year extension that keeps him in Saudi Arabia for two more seasons and also secured him an enormous financial package. Despite being 40 years old, Ronaldo shows no signs of considering retirement.

That’s why, following the announcement of his contract extension, a new question has started to emerge: Where will Cristiano Ronaldo play once his deal with Al-Nassr expires? Check out what Kalshi's market has to say about this.

Where will Cristiano Ronaldo Play Next?

Having Cristiano Ronaldo as the face of a club is a tempting proposition — one that many teams have dreamed of, but only a select few have actually achieved. Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus, and now Al-Nassr are the exclusive group that have had the privilege of signing — and enjoying — the Portuguese superstar.

With his new extension keeping him in Saudi Arabia until June 2027, and Ronaldo set to be 42 years old by then, the market is already beginning to shift as teams look to position themselves to acquire the Portuguese icon.

According to Kalshi, the leading candidate is Paris Saint-Germain (82%), followed closely by Wydad Casablanca (80%) of Morocco.

It’s not the first time Ronaldo and PSG have been linked. The Parisian club’s deep pockets have become a trademark ever since the Qatari takeover in 2011. Since then, some of the world’s biggest stars have played there: Zlatan Ibrahimović, Neymar, Lionel Messi, and more.

However, Nasser Al-Khelaifi still carries the sting of not being able to pair Ronaldo with Messi back in 2021. Could they now sign the Portuguese superstar and boast about being the only club in the world where both Messi and Ronaldo have played?

While the market’s favoritism in this race is clearly centered around those two clubs, just one tier below, we find two other highly intriguing contenders: Inter Miami and Al-Hilal.

Any move Ronaldo makes would become global news within seconds. But just imagine the idea of pairing Ronaldo with Messi at David Beckham’s Inter Miami. The dream of many deep-pocketed owners could finally come true, even though this scenario currently sits at just 26%.
