Liberty vs. Fever Preview
The Fever will enter this matchup flying high after putting together a historic performance in their Friday night victory over the Seattle Storm.
Indiana just barely edged by, 110-107, thanks to the offense of Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell. However, the All-Star guards will be hard-pressed to replicate the production from their latest outing.
Clark (45) and Mitchell (30) combined for more points (75) than any duo ever has in a single WNBA game on Friday. Running it back against a playoff-caliber team in the second leg of a back-to-back will be extremely challenging, though. The favorites have a major advantage in the frontcourt.
Aaliyah Boston has been ruled out for a second consecutive contest due to a leg injury. That means Mikayla Timpson will likely be tasked with holding her own against Breanna Stewart and Jonquel Jones just one day after forking up 28 points and 14 rebounds to second-year center Dominique Malonga.
Stewart and Jones have been named 2026 All-Stars and excel as elite scorers and rebounders. Their consistency will place tremendous pressure on Indiana's guard play.
Clark scored 17 points at the charity stripe on Friday, but will face a disciplined New York defense that's giving up a league-low 18.1 free throws per game to opposing teams in 2026.
Buckets will be harder to come by against the WNBA's fourth-ranked scoring defense, which held Clark to 10 points on 4-of-14 shooting earlier this year.
Fatigue will likely set in for Indiana in this spot.

Liberty vs. Fever Prediction
The Liberty have lost three straight and covered in less than half of their games this year, but things are turning around for them on the offensive end.
Sabrina Ionescu is averaging 21.0 points per game in July after kicking off 2026 slowly. Her return to form alongside the Liberty's team defense will likely put New York out of reach, even if Satou Sabally and Leonie Fiebich are sidelined.
It's very unlikely that Clark and Mitchell will power Indiana's offense just as efficiently as they did on Friday, going against a better team this time with no rest.
Best Bet: Liberty -2.5 (-110, DraftKings)
