The Connecticut Sun’s suffocating defense led them to a dominant opening win against the Indiana Fever. Their Game 2 rematch takes place on Wednesday, September 25, and Indiana faces elimination.
Check out my WNBA same-game parlay for this Fever vs Sun matchup, which airs on ESPN at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Parlay Odds: +320 on DraftKings
Marina Mabrey 20+ Points (+225)
7:30 P.M. ET ⋅ ESPN
Since joining the Sun via trade in July, Mabrey closed out the regular season averaging 14.9 points and shooting 42.4% on 6.2 attempts per game from 3-point range. She’s coming off the bench but still logging nearly 30 minutes per game. Playing time should not be a concern here, especially since starter Tyasha Harris suffered an injury in Game 1 that left her in a walking boot.
Speaking of Game 1, Mabrey absolutely exploded to the tune of 27 points on 5-of-12 shooting from deep. The veteran sharpshooter is red-hot at the moment, and it’s a juicy matchup.
Indiana finished the year ranked 11th in defensive rating and second in pace. More importantly, perimeter threats decimate them, and the per-game stats are ugly.
- Second most 3-point attempts allowed
- Second most jump shots allowed
- Fourth most unguarded catch-and-shoot attempts allowed
Its not just volume either, as opponents produce the largest effective field goal percentage on jump shots. Essentially, players that knock down triples can torch them and post prop-breaking numbers. Mabrey certainly qualifies and has a chance to replicate her Game 1 performance.
Pick: Marina Mabrey 20+ Points (+225)
Alyssa Thomas 9+ Assists (-130)
7:30 P.M. ET ⋅ ESPN
Thomas’ 7.9 assists per game is second in the WNBA behind Caitlin Clark, and playmaking duties will only increase with Harris ailing.
Indiana pushes the pace, boasts a porous defense, and struggles to stop catch-and-shoot threats. That’s a perfect recipe for “The Engine” to rack up assists, which she did in Game 1 (13 assists). Look for another impressive box score here from Thomas – a constant triple-double threat.
She has hit nine or more assists in 3-of-5 games against the Fever this year.
Pick: Alyssa Thomas 9+ Assists (-130)
