Prior to joining Action in 2022, Sam covered taxes and healthcare for Bloomberg, where his coverage of an IRS crackdown on fantasy sports earned him two awards from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers. His journalism career started at Penn State, where he covered college basketball and hockey for the Daily Collegian. He's been betting on sports since the Supreme Court overturned PASPA.
