Man United will travel to take on West Ham at London Stadium on Sunday in a tense battle where both sides are in need of points for different reasons.

The Red Devils are unbeaten in four of their last five matches but are not out of the woods yet if they are to qualify for a Champions League spot. They currently maintain that fourth slot in the table but are just one point ahead of the surging Liverpool.

Meanwhile, the Hammers have just one win in their last five league matches and are also fighting for table positioning in the season's final stretch. They are 15th in the table, just four points clear of the relegation zone.

Here is our breakdown of the West Ham vs. Man United odds, and my pick for the Premier League match on Sunday.

Man United Always Bounce Back

The Red Devils spoiled their chance to go into third place after falling 1-0 to Brighton during the midweek after conceding a 99th-minute goal. This season could now go either way for Man United.

A third-place finish is still an option for Erik ten Hag's men as they are just two points back from Newcastle United, but fifth place is now an increasing concern, with Liverpool winning six straight league games.

Thankfully for United fans, their side has shown they can bounce back from a poor result this season. Asides from match day two, the Red Devils have followed up every loss this season with three points.

It even seems this trend is capable of overcoming United's poor road form this season. The Red Devils have just one loss at home and a +20 goal difference. On the road, they have seven losses and a -11 goal differential. That said, on the three occasions where Man United lost their first match of two consecutive road games, they won the second.

West Ham Are Mediocre At Home

It's been an emotional rollercoaster for West Ham fans in the last half of the season. They earned seven points from three matches during the mid-April stretch, removing themselves from the relegation battle. However, they followed up that three-game run with three consecutive losses to return to the conversation.

Their latest loss was against Man City on the road, where they fell 3-0 to the league leaders. The result was no surprise given the league leader's form, but they have now conceded 50 goals in 38 games, equating to 1.47 goals per game. That is West Ham's worst goals-per-90 ratio since the 2019-20 season when they finished 16th.

The Hammers return home this weekend, where their overall numbers improve, but they are nothing to brag about. They average 1.29 points at home compared to 0.71 on the road, and 23 of their 50 goals allowed came in front of their home fans.

Manager David Moyes' side does have more creativity and goal-scoring form at London Stadium. Just under 60% of their goals this season have been scored at home. They will also likely see the return of one of their most creative players in Declan Rice — along with Tomas Soucek and Nayef Aguerd — who missed the City match due to an illness.

Man United vs West Ham Pick

Both teams will be hoping they have enough gas in the tank to finish the season strong. And while West Ham are a below-average team at home and Man United are a below-average team on the road, the Red Devils are simply a much better side.

Now that is not saying much, looking at their positioning in the table, but the oddsmakers are looking too far into United's away form, given the long odds the current fourth-place team is getting in this spot.

Not only does Erik ten Hag's side always bounce back after a loss, but they have defeated West Ham on two separate occasions this season already, winning 1-0 back in October and then 3-1 in the FA Cup in March.

Back Man United on the moneyline at plus-odds.
