The 2025 PGA Championship tees off this weekend from Quail Hollow Golf Club in Charlotte, N.C.
While the best golfers in the world vie for the year's second major championship, there are more ways to bet the tournament than just who will emerge victorious on Sunday. For more instant gratification, we turn to the First Round Leader market to find value on who will sit atop the leaderboard when play comes to an end on Thursday.
Here are my three favorite PGA Championship First Round Leader bets for Thursday.
PGA Championship 2025 First Round Leader Picks
Tommy Fleetwood has a high ceiling this weekend and it all comes down to how he performs with his putter.
Fleetwood will hit plenty of greens in regulation, especially early in this tournament. If he can knock down some putts in Round 1, there's really good value on him to lead after Round 1 at this number.
We all know about Shane Lowry's ability and how he can have a real birdie-fest in any individual round, like we saw last week at the Truist Championship.
Lowry fits Quail Hollow really well and has been playing great golf recently, and I like the chances of him carrying over that strong play to the first round on Thursday.
If Lowry's putter can get hot, he'll definitely be in the mix.
Corey Conners has yet to score a win in a major championship, but he is an absolute first-round stud.
Conners almost always starts tournaments strong and Quail Hollow also fits him really well. While he's not the longest off the tee, he has a great putter and a great approach game.
The key for Conners is how he performs around the green, but if he hones that in, he'll be in the mix on Thursday.
