The MLB regular season is coming to an end, but don't get down just yet. There’s still plenty of baseball left to play, and plenty of prediction markets to trade throughout September. That’s why we’ve rounded up five intriguing picks on Kalshi, focusing on seasonal props and milestones that are bound to shift drastically over the coming weeks. Let's dive in.

Playoff Qualifiers

Sure, it’s not the most original market out there, but with the regular season entering the home stretch, the playoff qualifier contract is primed for big shifts and high volatility, creating prime trading opportunities.

Beyond the runaway favorites sitting at a 99% probability, the real value lies right in the middle of the board. Keep in mind that only 12 teams make the postseason, six per league. With that in mind, there are two genuinely intriguing teams offering low entry prices and massive upside: the Houston Astros and the Cleveland Guardians.

Neither team is just coasting into the postseason; both have proven they have the legs to endure the late-September grind. Between the two, the Cleveland Guardians look like the more enticing play, not only are their Yes shares still trading at a relative discount, but their remaining schedule is comfortably soft.

Worst Record…

Life is full of contrasts: on one end are teams punching their ticket to the postseason, and on the other are those competing for the dubious honor of having the worst record in baseball.

Right now, the Colorado Rockies lead the board for "Pro Baseball Worst Record", and for good reason. Last season, they went 43-119, setting the worst run differential in modern baseball at minus-424. While their floor doesn't look quite as low this year, any talk of a turnaround will have to wait for next season.

In this market, and at current prices, buying Yes shares on the favorite is the smartest play on the board.

Milwaukee 100+ Wins Odds

Back to the contrasts. From the dismal season of the Colorado Rockies to the potentially historic run of the Milwaukee Brewers. There’s no doubt about it, the Brewers have been one of the most solid, compelling teams of the year.

What makes this contract so interesting is that several market brackets present potentially historic scenarios if they pan out.

The 100+ Wins option is a bit risky, but considering where the team stands and their relatively soft remaining schedule from now until the end of the regular season, that outcome is entirely plausible.

Granted, the Brewers have never pulled off a campaign quite like this, and triple-digit win totals have historically eluded them. But with 86 wins already locked in and 23 games remaining on the slate, grabbing Yes shares at 48 cents sounds like a steal.

AL Rookie of the Year: Back the Favorite

For weeks, the American League Rookie of the Year race looked completely sewn up. Kevin McGonigle held a firm command of the board with nothing seemingly standing in his way, until Parker Messick started gaining ground over the last few days, injecting some fresh intrigue into the market.

Messick's late surge is precisely what creates an opportunity here. While his climb up the board is notable, it's hard to imagine McGonigle walking away empty-handed at season's end. The slight dip in McGonigle's Yes shares presents a prime opening for traders seeking a low-risk entry.

At this point, the only person standing between McGonigle and AL Rookie of the Year honors is McGonigle himself. As long as his production stays steady down the stretch, there isn't much room for an upset.

MLB Champion: Fade the Dodgers

Obviously, we had to wrap up this article with the main course, it couldn’t end any other way. What makes trading this market so compelling at this stage of the season is that there's still plenty of baseball left to be played. Expect a lot of contracts to surge, while others get buried for good.

Far from being a drawback, this high-volatility climate creates prime entry points for positions with tremendous room to grow, even if their actual chances of winning the World Series remain a long shot.

Right now, the board is led by the Los Angeles Dodgers, a powerhouse club whose recent form has seen a slight drop in overall efficiency and dominance over opponents. Their top spot rests partly on the bias of being the defending champions. Yet, despite remaining formidable contenders, the Dodgers are hardly the highest-value play on the board.

In this environment, snatching up discounted Yes shares on the Milwaukee Brewers or the New York Yankees presents a very attractive setup. Both clubs offer compelling opportunities to buy, sell, and lock in profits heading into and throughout October.
