The Arizona Diamondbacks stunned the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Division Series last season en route to a World Series appearance. The Dodgers picked up some revenge with a victory in Monday's series opener at Chase Field — L.A. seeks its seventh win in its last eight games on Tuesday Night.

So, where does the betting value lie?

Let's make a Dodgers vs Diamondbacks prediction as we take a look at the MLB odds for Tuesday.

Editor's Note: Jordan Montgomery, the Diamondbacks' scheduled starter for Tuesday night, was scratched after the game was delayed by bees.

Los Angeles Dodgers

Ten days ago, the Dodgers owned a 12-11 record and were looking to avoid a home sweep at the hands of the Mets.

However, Los Angeles has turned the corner with a pair of road series victories at Washington and Toronto to take a four-game lead in the NL West over San Francisco.

In Monday's series opener in Phoenix, the Dodgers put up a pair of multi-run innings, including four runs in the fifth inning of an 8-4 victory as -140 favorites. Mookie Betts finished 0-for-3 at the plate, but Andy Pages and Teoscar Hernandez combined for five RBIs in the win.

Landon Knack will make his third start for the Dodgers, as the Tennessee native split a pair of outings against the Nationals. In his debut at home against Washington on April 17, Knack allowed four hits and two runs in five innings, but the Dodgers offense provided no support in a 2-0 loss as -215 favorites.

Knack picked up some revenge against the Nationals in an 11-2 rout in D.C. last Monday, scattering three hits in six innings of work.

The Dodgers have put together a solid 9-3 record this season against left-handed starting pitchers, including a 5-1 road mark.

Arizona Diamondbacks

The Diamondbacks fell to 0-9 in their last nine series openers following Monday's loss. Arizona has dropped four of its past five games and is in the midst of a 4-8 record over the past 12 contests to sit in fourth place in the NL West.

Ketel Marte has caught fire at home recently, going 9-for-19 in his last three games at Chase Field. However, reigning Rookie of the Year Corbin Carroll is hitting .191 and finds himself stuck in a 2-for-29 slump in the past eight contests.

Jordan Montgomery will try to get Arizona on track tonight as he makes his home debut on the mound.

Montgomery shut down the Giants in his first start after signing with Arizona, allowing four hits in six innings in a 17-1 road rout. The southpaw pitched well early in his last outing at St. Louis, but things fell apart late in a 5-1 defeat. He gave up three runs in the sixth and seventh innings.

In one outing against Los Angeles last season as a member of the Cardinals, Montgomery struck out seven batters in 6 2/3 innings of a 1-0 road defeat.

For as bad as Arizona has been in opening games, the D-backs have bounced back in the second game, compiling a 7-2 record — although one of those losses came in their last series at Seattle.

Dodgers vs Diamondbacks

Betting Pick & Prediction

There's no question that the Dodgers are playing better than the Diamondbacks at the moment and have been solid against left-handed pitching. However, Montgomery is a step up from some of the other starting pitchers the Dodgers have faced this season.

Arizona is 4-0 in Game 2s at home this season, which includes a 3-0 mark off a loss in the series opener.

Let's go with the Diamondbacks to beat the Dodgers this evening.

Pick: Diamondbacks ML -105 (Play to -110)
