Dodgers vs Brewers MLB Betting Preview
The Dodgers were held in check last night by a bevy of arms from Milwaukee. Shockingly, the Dodgers tallied just three hits, which all came in the first seven innings.
It's safe to say that the lineup that leads the majors in wRC+ and OPS is due for some positive regression tonight. We should see them bounce back in a big way against Robert Gasser, who's making just his second start of the season.
Gasser did not miss many bats, nor did he keep the ball on the ground against the Twins. If those trends continue, against the Dodgers, we could see a crooked number put up early here.
However, it won't stop with Gasser, as despite the Brewers receiving excellent pitching last night, they did not exactly set themselves up well for extended bullpen usage tonight.
It would be a surprise to see Gasser make it through the fifth, and Milwaukee's long men in Connor Patrick and Aaron Ashby were used last night. That leaves another lefty in DL Hall as the only longman to eat up the middle innings, and he's due for some sizable regression.
On the other side of this matchup, the Brewers have been hot. They are 8-2 over their last 10 ballgames after last night's victory, and are doing so in typical Brewers fashion.
This Milwaukee team is last in the majors in ISO, but it's one of the highest contact teams, and it does not chase. It's a testament to the old adage, "Put the ball in play, and good things will happen".
The Brewers will be a good test for Roki Sasaki, who is coming off the best start of his young career.
Don't let Sasaki's 5.09 ERA fool you; he's proven to be very tough to hit when he gets ahead of hitters, and that's exactly what we saw against the Angels. He's still due for plenty of positive regression as his xFIP sits at 4.17, so we should expect another solid outing here.

Dodgers vs Brewers Pick, Betting Analysis
While it's understandable that many would want to sell high on the Sasaki, the Dodgers are clearly underpriced in this matchup. The Brewers have put themselves in a bind, pitching-wise, when Gasser inevitably gets in trouble early.
They don't have the arms to put out the fire in the middle innings, and it will allow the Dodgers to pull away before any of their high-leverage arms enter the game.
Back the Dodgers to even the series tonight.
