Marlins vs Twins Pick, MLB Betting Preview
By Chris Prince
Byron Buxton has been a terror for RHPs this season, and he draws a very favorable spot against Eury Perez.
Against RHPs this season, Buxton ranks in the top 15 in wOBA (.419), and his .391 ISO ranks 3rd in all of baseball. He's been swinging a great bat of late, covering this number in 10 of his last 14 games.
Perez has had major issues with righties this season, giving up a .348 wOBA along with an alarming .294 ISO.
He can be vulnerable to power, as he has allowed a 49% hard-contact rate, a 35.3% fly-ball rate, and a 15.7% barrel rate.
As bad as those numbers look, he's had some luck on his side, as his BABIP against righties sits at just .217 this season; therefore, these numbers could look even worse when the BABIP starts to normalize.
Pick: Byron Buxton Over 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBIs (-135)
