Brewers vs Rays MLB Betting Preview

Milwaukee Brewers Betting Preview

The Brewers will look to win the World Series after blowing a one-run lead in the 11th inning of Game 4. Milwaukee used several high-leverage relievers in that game, including Trevor Megill and Antonio Senzatela, but none of these pitchers went in Game 3, so they should be available here.

There's a chance that Abner Uribe (2 IP, 19 pitches) and Aaron Ashby (2.1 IP, 31 pitches) won't be available, though.

The good news for the Brew Crew is that Jacob Misiorowski (four days' rest) is ready to go. The NL Cy Young favorite hasn't been his usual dominant self during the postseason, combining for 13.1 innings and four earned runs in three appearances, but we all know that he's capable of giving them six dominant innings here.

The Brewers have the significant edge on the mound in this one.

Tampa Bay Rays Betting Preview

The Rays will look to stay alive for another game. It's not confirmed who their starter will be for Game 5, but all signs point to Drew Rasmussen.

However, we should note that he'd be only on three days' rest, so it's unlikely that he'll pitch more than four innings here. The Rays used Nick Martinez and Bryan Baker for two innings apiece in Game 4, making them probably unavailable here.

In short, Tampa will have to overcome a significant pitching disadvantage to extend this series here. It also hurts them that Junior Caminero is dealing with a foot injury. Even though he's expected to play tonight, there's a risk that it could affect him at the plate.

Brewers vs Rays Pick, Betting Analysis

It would be a storybook ending for the Brewers to win the World Series behind a dominant performance from their ace, Misiorowski, who had one of the best seasons in recent memory.

I'm betting that Misirowoski saves his best postseason outing for last, shutting down the Rays' bats en route to a World Series win.

Pick: Brewers ML
