MLB NRFI Pick Today: Marlins vs Brewers Offers Value With Aces Sandy Alcantara, Corbin Burnes (September 30)

On Friday, we travel back to Milwaukee to find value in the NRFI between the Milwaukee Brewers in the Miami Marlins.
The Brewers will send out NRFI ace Corbin Burnes, who is an outstanding 26-4 to the NRFI with a near-perfect 15-1 home NRFI split. When facing batters the first time through the order, Burnes has allowed only 47 hits in 256 at-bats. Burnes also performs fairly well when getting the first out in the NRFI. When facing teams' leadoff hitters, he’s only allowing a .191 average.
Here is how some of these Marlins hitters have done in the past against Burnes:
- Jon Berti: 0-for-2
- Brian Anderson: 1-for-4
- Miguel Rojas: 1-for-6
- Avisail Garcia: 0-for-2
Burnes has held the projected top of the order to a collective 2-for-14.
The Marlins will counter with their ace in Sandy Alcantara, who is a strong 25-6 to the NRFI with a 13-2 road NRFI split. Like Burnes, Alcantara also dominates when facing batters the first time through the order, only allowing a. 175 average.

The Marlins are by far the worst hitting team in the first inning. Accompanying this, the Brewers are riding an insanely hot 10-0 NRFI streak. With both offenses being significantly poor in the first inning, the pitchers owned their previous matchups, all while being highly proficient to the NRFI.
