Charlie Wright's Pirates vs Brewers Best Bet: Electric Pitching Matchup
I circled this one last night and should’ve pulled the trigger when it was -120 as it’s an absolutely electric pitching matchup.
Milwaukee has been a top-five offense against right-handed ptiching over the past 30 days, but Paul Skenes isn’t a typical righty. He’s allowed a total of three earned runs this month and hasn’t given up more than two earned runs since early May.
On the other side, Jacob Misiorowski draws one of the weakest lineups in the league.
Pick: First 5 Innings Under 3.5 (-132)
Kyle Murray's Red Sox vs Angels Best Bet: Back Angels Early
By Kyle Murray
The Angels are looking to complete the sweep against the Red Sox and while I like their chances to do so, I'm going to target them in the first five innings, as I like their advantage with Yusei Kikuchi on the bump vs. Boston's Richard Fitts.
The Red Sox do have some solid platoon hitters against left-handed pitchers, but overall, their lineup gets significantly weaker against lefties. I think Kikuchi has a good chance to lock down the Red Sox as he's quite good at generating whiffs.
Pick: Angels First 5 Innings Moneyline (-120)
Kyle Murray's Rays vs Royals Best Bet: Have Faith in Rasmussen
By Kyle Murray
To address the elephant in the room, yes, this is a terrible matchup for strikeouts.
The Royals have one of the lowest strikeout rates in the league and are still in that form over the past month or so. However, this is a bet on Drew Rasmussen, as I think he is deserving of a 4.5 line, even in a tough matchup. Rasmussen has a 22% strikeout rate on the season, but also has some strong underlying numbers, like a 27% CSW% and a 112 Stuff+ grade.
Pick: Drew Rasmussen Over 3.5 Strikeouts (-105)
Bet Labs' Marlins vs Giants Best Bet: Over/Under System Play
By Bet Labs
This system targets evening games in which public interest in the over is muted, the home team's scoring has run slightly hot recently and subtle environmental signals align with lower-scoring outcomes.
It also focuses on games that start between 7:00 and 11:59 p.m. ET, in which the market over percentage sits below 50.
Meanwhile, the wind direction — whether blowing in, across the field, or neutral — paired with moderate temperatures between 26 and 74 degrees, introduces a natural resistance to run scoring. When layered together, these filters isolate a soft edge in a game environment where bettors overlook the under due to recency bias and lack of extreme public conviction.
This system has generated a 10% ROI lifetime and has hit 57% of its picks over a substantial sample (1478-1116-140). This season, it's running even hotter, producing a 32% ROI and cashing 69% of its picks (40-18-0).
