Charlie Wright's Rays vs Orioles Best Bet: Back Tampa Bay Early
Ryan Pepiot had an uneven April, but has been absolutely rolling recently. He has a 2.37 ERA over 10 starts since the beginning of May and hasn't allowed more than three earned runs in a start since April 15th. Pepiot has had better individual seasons in terms of Stuff+ and Location+, but this is the first time he's had both marks above 100 in the same season. This might be the best version we've seen of him.
Tomoyuki Sugano's weak underlying metrics are finally catching up to him. He's been knocked around this month, posting a 4.58 ERA across four starts. Sugano's xERA (4.98) and SIERA (4.60) are more than a run higher than his actual ERA (3.55) and that mark will likely keep going up.
The Rays have been one of the hottest offenses in the league lately. They rank top three in OPS, wOBA and wRC+ against right-handed pitching over the past 30 days and lead the league in scoring over that stretch. Baltimore has been middling, ranking 17th in OPS and 20th in wOBA.
Pick: Tampa Bay Rays First 5 Innings Moneyline (-125)
Kyle Murray's Cardinals vs Guardians Best Bet: Ortiz is Undervalued
By Kyle Murray
Luis L. Ortiz strikes me as someone who is a bit underrated in the strikeout markets right now. He has a strikeouts prop of 4.5 here despite the fact that he has cleared five or more strikeouts in seven of his past eight starts and is averaging over six strikeouts per start this season.
The Cardinals certainly aren't an elite strikeout matchup, but they do have four hitters in their projected lineup with a strikeout rate of 25.2% or higher against right-handed pitching since the start of last season.
Pick: Luis L. Ortiz Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-115)
Derek Carty's Giants vs White Sox Pick: Roupp's Prop Showing Value
By Derek Carty
There may be some value on Landen Roupp's strikeouts prop. THE BAT X is projecting him to record 4.33 strikeouts, and oddsmakers are implying 4.97. The model believes there is a 57% chance he records fewer than five strikeouts. If you can get the under at +130 or better, there is great value here.

Pick: Landen Roupp Under 4.5 Strikeouts (+130)
Kyle Murray's Marlins vs Diamondbacks Best Bet: Back the Starters
By Kyle Murray
I am happy to back both pitchers here as I think both Eury Perez and Merrill Kelly are more than capable of shutting down the opposing offenses.
I am going with the F5 under because both teams have bad bullpens, but I like the chances of the starters doing well. Kelly has pitched well this season, as he has a 3.48 SIERA and has allowed just a .147 ISO. For Perez, this matchup is better than usual with Corbin Carroll out, but Perez has also done a good job at preventing power.
