Mets vs Yankees MLB Betting Preview, Prediction
Editor's Note: This written pick is a transcription from today's episode of the Payoff Pitch Podcast.
By Derek Carty
I'm going with a Nolan McLean fade: Under 17.5 outs, with -110 as the best odds on the board. I like it down to -165.
Obviously, the Mets starter is a great pitcher and fading him is a little scary, but it's less scary in this matchup because the Yankees offense is really good. Not only that, but with Aaron Judge back, this is a lineup that can take pitches, draw walks, and run a starter's pitch count up.
So this is a spot where McLean is more likely to struggle than he otherwise would. Also, it's a park downgrade for him.
THE BAT X is projecting about 15 outs for him. So if we can get the under 17.5 at very reasonable odds, the value on this pick is good.
Pick: Nolan McLean Under 17.5 Outs (-110, BetMGM)
