In a rare non-nationally televised Sunday night game, Lowe hit his 30th home run, reaching the milestone for the second time in his career. Lowe has struggled a bit in September, but he is looking to finish his strong campaign with a flurry. He is hitting .313 with two homers, five RBI, and a 1.040 OPS over the last week.

Lowe is also hitting .313 in 16 career at-bats against Dean Kremer. That includes a double, a homer, and a 1.013 OPS. Kremer's year of inconsistency continues as he enters this start against with 4.39 ERA. Since I last faded him against Josh Naylor and the Mariners, Kremer has had two-game stretches allowing one run, 13 runs, and most recently two runs, which means he may be in for a rough close to the regular season.

Lowe also has done some of his best work against Baltimore this season. He is hitting .387 with four home runs, 10 RBI, and a 1.243 OPS against them this season, including two homers in 10 at-bats at Camden Yards. He has recorded two or more hits + runs + runs batted in six of his last seven games overall and eight of his last 10 against Baltimore. He has the matchup to get there once again.

The Yankees have a chance to clinch a playoff spot tonight against the White Sox, who they took three of four from in August. The one game the White Sox won was started by Shane Smith. However, Smith still gave up to a home run to Judge before he departed. Judge went 3-for-5 with a double and the aforementioned home run in that game, adding on to yet another remarkable season from him.

Judge leads MLB in batting average, ranks fourth in home runs, ninth in RBI, and leads in OPS by over 100 points over the next closest player. Judge is one of just four right-handed hitters to homer off Smith this season, but I would not surprised if he took him deep again. Smith's ERA is a full run higher both on the road and in night games. Additionally, he gave up six earned runs in his last outing.

If Judge does leave the yard tonight, he will have 50 home runs for the second straight season and fourth time in his career. However, Judge has consistently been on base as well. In September, he is hitting .344 and has drawn 20 walks for a .506 OBP. That has helped him record two or more hits + runs + runs batted in 11 times in 17 games, for a 64% hit rate. I like his chances of getting there again.

Nationals vs Braves Player Props: Matt Olson Over 1.5 Total Bases

Last night, Olson had a very rough game, going 0-for-6 to nab the golden sombrero. However, those games have been few and far between for him of late. In September, he is hitting .326 with 13 extra base hits (seven home runs), 16 RBI, and a 1.126 OPS. Even last night, he nearly missed salvaging his night with a homer as he had a 371 flyout to left field with 99 mph exit velocity that would have been a home run in eight of 30 ballparks.

I backed Olson last Wednesday against Washington with Brad Lord starting. While Olson only got a single off Lord, he finished 3-for-5 with a home run. It continues what he has done to Washington of late. Olson has recorded three or more total bases in six of his last seven games against Washington and we only need two tonight.

If Olson cannot get this line in his first couple of at-bats against Lord, he will have opportunities against a Nationals bullpen that remains abysmal. The Braves scored seven runs in six innings against the Nationals' bullpen after early MacKenzie Gore struggles. Olson had a triple and home run in consecutive games off their bullpen in the series last week.
