Thanks to a 22-6 record in the month of June, the New York Yankees began to overtake the Los Angeles Dodgers as World Series betting favorites.

The shorter price isn't scaring away the public.

Not only are the Yankees the most popular team in the betting market at multiple sportsbooks, but nearly half of the World Series bets collected at Caesars Sportsbook in the last month have come on the Bronx Bombers.

According to Caesars, 46.3% of World Series bets in the last month are on the Yankees. New York is +400 to win the World Series at Caesars, coming in just ahead of the Dodgers (+450) and Astros (+550).

New York is the most-bet team at BetMGM, too, with over 22% of the money in the World Series market on the Yankees. The Dodgers and Mets are second and third, respectively.

New York is led by the odds-on favorite to win AL MVP, Aaron Judge. He leads the majors with 29 home runs and is second in the American League with a .981 OPS. Giancarlo Stanton has 20 home runs to contribute to New York's ML-leading 133 homers.

It's not just the offense that's performing for New York. The team's 2.90 ERA is also the best in baseball.

The Yankees have played well in both close games (17-7 in one-run games) and blowouts (16-3 in games decided by at least five runs).

There just aren't many signs of weakness with the Yankees thus far.

They hold a commanding 13-game lead in the AL East over the Red Sox. The Blue Jays are 14.5 games back with the Rays 15 games back and in fourth place.

Their run differential of plus-162 is also the best in baseball.
