The Octagon returns to Etihad Arena as UFC 333 takes center stage in Abu Dhabi. Heading the fight card, reigning featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski puts his title on the line against the undefeated No. 1 contender Movsar Evloev. Their odds in prediction markets suggest one of the most brutally contested fights of the year, one where traders simply cannot decide on a clear favorite.

Let’s break down this fight card and analyze the best picks and props. Before we dive in, make sure to grab our Polymarket Promo Code and download the Action Network App to get the best UFC trading insights.

Volkanovski vs. Evloev Odds & Picks

As I anticipated, the Polymarket trading board has the main event sitting in a deadlock tie. Evloev sits just barely ahead of his opponent at a 51% implied probability, but that figure hardly signals any concrete superiority inside the Octagon. This tight parity between the two fighters has remained consistent throughout the entire life of the market.

At 38, Volkanovski faces a critical test against one of the division’s most grueling grapplers. He relies on his elite distance control to force striking exchanges and deny takedowns. However, Evloev averages nearly 5 takedowns per 15 minutes and excels at wearing down opponents against the fence without exposing himself to danger.

While the moneyline is extremely tight, I believe Evloev has a strong enough case to be considered the favorite here. Backing him to win by decision is a very solid option given his youth and power, while still respecting Volkanovski's durability and elite defense.

Yan vs. Dvalishvili 3: The Trilogy, Explained

The third chapter of this modern classic rivalry is one of the most anticipated events of the year. Following memorable showdowns in 2023 and 2025, Georgian Merab Dvalishvili and Russian Petr Yan clash in the Octagon once again, with one of them leaving Abu Dhabi holding a 2-1 lead in their series.

Analyzing their moneyline presents a different picture than the main event. In this case, the Russian fighter holds a slightly more concrete advantage over his Georgian rival, trading at a 59% implied probability. Just ten days ago, Yan reached his peak, hitting a price of 63 cents.

There is no major age gap between the fighters, and their head-to-head record is deadlocked with one victory apiece. Traders' preference for Yan is mostly due to his devastating boxing, his composure, and his efficiency when connecting with strikes. He is a more complete fighter capable of inflicting heavy damage.

On the other hand, Dvalishvili brings a high-volume wrestling approach that secured him the victory in 2023, in the first installment of this series.

Considering both fighters' durability, and with Fight Goes the Distance positive shares trading at 71 cents, the best play here is backing Yan on the moneyline at 59 cents.

Temirov vs. Kavanagh: Duel of Styles

What makes this fight so compelling is that it’s a true clash of styles and skill sets. On one side, you have explosive power and a direct, aggressive attack. On the other, pacing, output management, and the cardio capacity to carry the bout all the way to the final bell.

Ramazan Temirov is one of the division's most dangerous opening-round threats, boasting rapid and heavy hands capable of ending the fight with a single strike. He will look to establish early forward pressure, forcing exchanges before his opponent can settle.

For Lone’er Kavanagh, the key against Temirov is navigating that initial storm, utilizing length and lateral movement to extend the fight into deep waters where pacing becomes decisive.

In this case, I don't see the fight going to the judges' scorecards, and I believe it could end Under 2.5 rounds, taking into account Temirov’s aggressive finishing style and high early output. On the moneyline, I'm backing Temirov to win by KO/TKO, a vote of confidence in the Uzbek's overwhelming power.

UFC 333 Start Time and How to Watch

Due to the time difference with Abu Dhabi, UFC 333 will air during a special morning and early afternoon slot for the U.S.

The main card is scheduled to start precisely at 2:00 PM ET, with main event ring walks for Alexander Volkanovski and Movsar Evloev expected at approximately 4:30 PM ET. The entire event will stream live on Paramount+.
