Cavaliers vs Raptors NBA Playoffs Game 6 Preview
Toronto Raptors Betting Preview, Analysis
Road favorites are 41-18 SU and 65-23-1 ATS (60%) in Game 6s. Teams leading 3-2 are 32-13 SU (71%) and 29-16 ATS (61%) in those spots.
I liked the Raptors so much prior to the start of this series. I took them +2.5 on the series spread and escalators, so this is partly a hedge for me because I already took them +1.5 and to win the series.
The Raptors have played Cleveland tough, but the fourth quarter of Game 5 could prove to be the turning point.
The Cavaliers went down late last game, at home, and everyone had written them off. It was bad. Yet, they responded, and managed to escape with a 5-point victory.
Cleveland Cavaliers Betting Preview, Analysis
Sharps disagree with the public on the total here. The tickets and money are on the over at 80%+, and the total hasn’t moved because of sharp action on the under holding it down.
I tend to think the Cavaliers’ offense will break the ceiling, but the problem is, that also might coincide with the Raptors' offense completely dying.
An alternative is that the Raptors' offense might suffer, but their defense will continue to compete and you can count on that.
I don’t want to mess with the total in Game 6 tonight, there are too many ways it can go. Instead, I will be targeting the spread.
Cavaliers vs Raptors Pick, Betting Analysis
Cavaliers -3.5
Donovan Mitchell has struggled. There are rumors of various injuries, but nothing official. I have to believe he’ll be better.
Brandon Ingram has been terrible this series, but he’s questionable with a heel injury. However, his value wasn’t in his play, but in the threat he provided.
The Raptors need Ingram out there to draw defensive attention. The Cavs’ defense looked much better when they could hone in on RJ Barrett and Scottie Barnes.
I just think the Raptors’ ability to slow down Cleveland’s offense is likely running to its end, the bench is playing to their strengths, and I don’t think Toronto has enough firepower to hold them off.
I’ll take the Cavs to cover the spread and closeout this series on the road in Game 6 tonight.
Dean Wade Over 7.5 Points & Rebounds
Dean Wade was moved to the bench for some bizarre reason in Game 5, and it didn’t work.
The Cavs lost the minutes without him and won the minutes with him, but he still managed to go over this line.
Wade has gone over 7.5 points & rebounds in every game in the series, and he should continue to have more rotation opportunities moving forward.
Matt Moore's Cavaliers vs Raptors Best Bets
- Cavaliers -3.5 (-115)
- Dean Wade Over 7.5 Points & Rebounds (-130)
