Golden State Warriors Betting Preview

The Golden State Warriors are simply not an intimidating team right now, especially on the interior. They do not roster a traditional, bruising center who can control the paint and dictate the glass.

Other traditional big men have already found success rebounding against Golden State this year. Zach Edey pulled down 10 boards, while Walker Kessler grabbed nine rebounds on 17 rebound chances, and Nikola Jokic secured seven boards on 19 chances.

The Warriors just don't have the size to keep dedicated rebounders off the glass.

Minnesota Timberwolves Betting Preview

The Minnesota Timberwolves are navigating this game with Anthony Edwards sidelined, which naturally shifts the dynamic of their rotation.

Without their star wing, Minnesota is going to rely heavily on their interior size and defense to control the flow of the game. Rudy Gobert is already off to a great start on the glass, averaging a massive 14.3 rebounds per game this season.

Gobert is arguably the best center in the league at converting raw rebound chances into actual secured boards, and he won't be played off the floor in this specific matchup.

Warriors vs Timberwolves Pick, Betting Analysis

Gobert has already eclipsed this 11.5-rebound line in three of his first four games this year.

When you look back at his performances against Golden State last season in games where he played meaningful minutes (25+ minutes), he secured 14, 17, and 9 rebounds.

The underlying metrics are even stronger: in those three games, he generated 27, 24, and 21 rebound chances. Even in the game where he only finished with nine boards, he had 21 chances, indicating some bad luck.

Against a Warriors team lacking interior size, Gobert should dominate the glass here.

Pick: Rudy Gobert Over 11.5 Rebounds (-115, bet365)
