The 75th NBA All-Star Game (or games) will take center stage on Sunday evening. This year's event will feature a three-team round-robin tournament with four 12-minute games to determine a winner.
The two United States teams are USA Stars and USA Stripes. The U.S. All-Stars were assigned to teams based on age, with the younger group placed on USA Stars and the older group placed on USA Stripes. Team World is composed of international players.
Let's get into my NBA All-Star Game predictions and picks for All-Star Weekend 2026.

NBA All-Star Game Preview
I don’t know why they’re calling it the All-Star Game when it’s the All-Star Games now.
It’s Team USA in two teams, Stars and Stripes, vs. Team World, but Team World is without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Giannis Antetokounmpo, which is a pretty big deal.
Team Stars is the long shot, but I think they are the best team.
The old heads on Team Stripes are too far along to play with any sense of pep or energy. It’s just mid-range jumpers for days. If they had Steph, sure, but he’s out with injury too.
With Team Stars, I get Anthony Edwards, Tyrese Maxey, Devin Booker, and Cade Cunningham.
If they do actually try in this thing, they have the best defensive players outside of Victor Wembanyama in Chet Holmgren, Scottie Barnes, and Jalen Duren.
Nikola Jokic is the best player in the world, but there is zero chance he tries here, nor Luka Doncic.
It’s up to a raw, unpolished Wembanyama for Team World.
Team World doesn't have much shooting, and as far as motivation goes, what brings together a Serbian, a Slovenian, a Turkish player, a Canadian, and a Frenchman?
I’ll take Team Stars to win the event.
Meanwhile, I think Tyrese Maxey could absolutely steal the show and wind up winning MVP.
NBA All-Star Game Prediction, Picks
3-Star Prediction: Team USA Stars – All-Star Game Round Robin Winner (+200)
Best roster, youngest legs, hungriest mouths.
2-Star Prediction: Tyrese Maxey – All-Star Game Round Robin MVP (+1200)
Maxey is having an outrageously good season, and I think he will actually go for this.
1-Star Prediction: Team USA Stripes vs Team World Under 81.5 (-110)
That’s right, an under in an All-Star Game!
Shorter format means less time to get rhythm.
Team World is going to play glacially slow with Joker and Luka. It’s all bigs and forwards.
Team Stripes is a bunch of older guys who are going to isolate and take mid-range jumpers instead of threes.
One time only, one under bet in an All-Star Game.
