NBA Player Props for Saturday, May 10
- Derrick White Over 3.5 Three-Pointers Made (-120)
- Payton Pritchard Over 1.5 Three-Pointers Made (-175) / To Make 3+ Three-Pointers (+200)
I'm back in on Derrick White despite back to back poor 3-point shooting performances.
White went 5-for-16 in Game 1 and 3-for-9 from deep in Game 2. The process is there, the results are up and down.
He has been listed at over or under 3.5 3s in both games, going over in Game 1, with a lot of room to really nuke that number with 16 attempts, but did not. And last game, we fell just short.
I think this has escalator potential every game. He's left open way too often. But I'm content with just the over on 3s here. He takes a ton, and Boston won't go away from shooting 3s, even if they do diversify their attack a bit.
I might argue that you want more attacks at the rim, because that will largely be led by Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, which will undoubtedly lead to catch-and-shoot opportunities, and White will be the most preferred other option of the remaining Celtics.
Pick: Derrick White Over 3.5 Three-Pointers Made (-120)
The above mentioned will also benefit Payton Pritchard.
Pritchard's juiced to go over 1.5 3s, because even if Boston does that again from deep, Pritchard could find the bottom of the net from distance twice, which is why I'll also sprinkle on three makes for the Sixth Man of the Year at +200 on Bet MGM. Brandon Anderson is going even harder on Pritchard escalators, which you can track on the Action App.
For the purposes of this exercise, the straight over and three or more 3s are good enough for me. Pritchard has gone 3-for-9 and 2-for-5 in this series.
Pick: Payton Pritchard Over 1.5 Three-Pointers Made (-175) | To Make 3+ Three-Pointers (+200)
