When it comes to NBA player props, we don't just settle for the median outcome. If the matchups, rotations, and underlying metrics tell us a player is in a smash spot, we aren't stopping at the base line. We are building the ladder and riding the escalator all the way to the top.
Let's get into my NBA player prop ladders and escalator picks for Friday, November 6.

Derik Queen Points Escalator
The New Orleans Pelicans' backup center is in an interesting spot here. The team is committed to starting Karlo Matkovic while Yves Missi recovers from an injury, but Derik Queen has been more productive.
Queen has tallied 48 points in 74 minutes as New Orleans spark plug off the bench during its current three-game winning streak. He'll enter Friday's game having scored 20 points in back-to-back outings.
Matkovic, meanwhile, has scored 38 points in 68 minutes over his previous three outings. He totaled half (20) as many shots as Queen (40) during that span.
Nobody expects Queen to score 20 points in a third straight contest. After all, Rudy Gobert anchors the Minnesota Timberwolves' top-five scoring defense.
However, the game script will likely favor Queen. DeAndre Jordan is out of the rotation, so Queen will likely dominate every minute Matkovic isn't on the floor.
Oddsmakers expect Queen to fall off, but two-thirds of this ladder can cash if he falls slightly short of his scoring average (13.4 points per game).
New Orleans has been at its best when his passing and rim pressure are on full display, so bettors should expect another healthy helping of him.

Domantas Sabonis Rebounds Escalator
Domantas Sabonis is on track to secure his fourth rebounding title.
The Sacramento Kings big man was too banged up to play last year, but now leads the league with 14.9 rebounds per game. He'll have a tough matchup against the San Antonio Spurs on Friday, but has never been bothered by Victor Wembanyama's length when it comes to coraling boards.
Sabonis has averaged 12.8 rebounds per game against Wemby through five total meetings. He's recorded at least 13 rebounds in three of those contests. While he's never tallied more than 14 rebounds against Wembanyama, Sacramento's depleted frontcourt has him controlling the glass at an all-time high level.
He's snared at least 17 rebounds in three of the eight games he's appeared in this season. Sabonis has already snared 14 rebounds against the Spurs' new three-guard lineup this year, in a 27-point loss. He can grab a few more in a closer contest.
The struggling Kings can be more competitive at home against a San Antonio team that ranks in the bottom 10 in rebounds allowed per game (45.6).
