Celtics vs Hornets NBA Cup Preview
Long story short on this game, I can’t play either side.
My power rating, even after a downgrade on Charlotte, gives value to the Hornets, but much of that is because Payton Pritchard is listed as questionable on the Celtics.
If he plays, that edge goes away. I also don’t want to trust the Hornets, who flat-out have not been able to beat anyone good, with a big win over Charles Lee’s old employer.
However, I do like a three-point prop.
Celtics vs Hornets Pick, Betting Analysis
I'm backing Brandon Miller Over 3.5 threes made. He averages the most corner three-point attempts on his team and makes one per game.
Boston gives up the second-most corner three-point attempts per game in the league and will likely be fine with Miller trying to beat them off-ball.
Miller has to space the floor because Kon Knueppel is out (again), and with Coby White back, he’ll have better opportunities against a defense that allows threes in volume (oddly, and oddly successfully).
Pick: Brandon Miller Over 3.5 Three-Pointers (+108, FanDuel)
