When it comes to NBA player props, we don't just settle for the median outcome. If the matchups, rotations, and underlying metrics tell us a player is in a smash spot, we aren't stopping at the baseline. We are building the ladder and riding the escalator all the way to the top.
Let's get into my NBA prop ladders and escalator picks for Wednesday, November 4.

Ty Jerome Points Escalator
This year's most surprising breakout star could have another impressive performance on Wednesday.
Grizzlies guard Ty Jerome will face the Pacers after scoring 40 points against the Pelicans earlier this week. The Virginia product is averaging 28.2 points per game, and his shooting splits have been flat-out ridiculous.
Jerome is converting 50.4% of his field goals and 42.1% of his three-pointers through six outings in 2026-27. He's a fringe top-10 player in both field-goal (18.8) and free-throw attempts (7.3) per game. His usage won't be a problem against the shorthanded Pacers.
Tyrese Haliburton and T.J. McConnell are out with hamstring injuries, so Indiana's backcourt rotation will mainly consist of Andrew Nembhard, Quenton Jackson, and Braden Smith. Two of those three are capable defenders, but Jerome is bound to put them in some tough spots by abusing elite change of pace with his 6'5" frame.
Jerome gets to the charity stripe at will, and there's a ton of value here for a player who is putting up 21.9 shots per 36 minutes with top-notch efficiency.
Jerome has scored at least 30 points three times this season, and opponents are shooting 37.4% from beyond the arc against the Pacers. Only four teams have allowed higher percentages so far this season.
Jerome has been consistent, and chances to triple your money when a player goes 1.8 points above his season average don't come around often.

Ausar Thompson Rebounds Escalator
The Pistons have needed Ausar Thompson's rebounding more than ever this year.
Jalen Duren is still recovering from an ankle injury, so Thompson has stepped up as the Pistons' best glass eater. The defensive menace is averaging a career-high 7.2 boards per contest. Luckily for him, no team has been worse than the 76ers at keeping opponents off the glass.
Philadelphia is giving up a league-high 48.8 rebounds per game, and has struggled to secure offensive rebounds. In fact, only the Wizards and Magic average fewer offensive rebounds per game than the 76ers (9.5).
That means second-chance opportunities don't come by often after misses. Detroit is one of the best teams best suited to take advantage of that.
The Pistons boast the league's best defense, even without Duren. They give up the fewest points per game (100.3), hold teams to the fewest made field goals per game (35.3), and hold teams to the lowest field goal percentage (41.2%).
Thompson has a non-stop motor and often crashes the glass to end possessions with a rebound.
Philadelphia has found team success, but it is in the bottom third of the league in team field goal percentage (45.2%).
Thompson has a clear path to finish this escalator if the 76ers play their usual game.
