The first game of the Sweet 16 already has some betting drama.

Kansas State opened as a 1-point favorite over Michigan State in the East Region semifinal.

The Wildcats are no longer the favorite against the Spartans as line movement has flipped the favorite to the underdog. Michigan State is now a 2-point favorite over Kansas State at most sportsbooks.

After the line opened on Sunday, 53% of the public bets have been on Kansas State. Typically, line movement is an indication of where the sharper bettors are placing their money.

If Kansas State ends up closing as an underdog, it will be just the fifth time in the Sweet 16 or later for a team to open as the betting favorite and close as the underdog since 2005.

The last four teams went 3-1 straight-up after opening as a favorite and closing as an underdog.
